Okay Ladies Christmas is fast approaching and I have an easy and fun craft for the whole family. I have been making reindeer canes since the fifth grade. They're great you can hang them on the tree or hang them on a stocking.

You will need

Package of candy canes (preferably the thick ones)
a package of small googly eyes
a package of small pom poms (you can get solid colors or sparkly ones)
a package of pipe cleaners (once again you can get solid colors or sparkly ones)
a hot -glue gun, experience has shown that it works the best (one year I even used crazy glue) but if you're working with children you have to be quite careful.

step one

Take the candy cane and glue the googly eyes on the curved part of the candy cane

step two

Glue the pom pom nose just underneath the eyes(I think you know what i mean)

You might want mom or dad or grandma or grandpa to do the gluing.

Finally you take a pipe cleaner to the top of the candy cane and twisting it you make sure that the ends are both even you can twist the ends any way you want, get as crazy with the antlers as you want. Voila! There you have it a reindeer cane, they also make great gifts to put on top of a present.

I hope you have fun making them I know I always do!

Enjoy your evening ladies
Tara

Just a quick note you can buy the supplies any where but I found the sparkly stuff at
Wal-mart or Micheals.

One other note sometimes I like to get creative and use little gingle bells as the noses. You can find them at Wal-mart.

Once again enjoy your evening ladies!

Oh I should mention that the candy canes are really only good for one year. They should be made yearly as after a year they get all gooey and gross!
