Has anyone here been told (as a precautionary measure) with itching on vulvular area to get a biopsy if itching doesnt subside?
I know my gyn always tests for things just to rule anything out. Has anyone else gone through this just to make sure
hopefully that its nothing serious? Hopefully someone here will respond on this. Im a neurotic person to begin with.

thanks anyone, ohmy.gif

Yes but not my vulva but my anus, know kidding I have suffered with this for 20 years, I have tried everything. Was told by a gyno maybe it should be biopsied, I'll bet he was laughing his butt off laugh.gif Didn't have it done and still suffering. Jill

They just do a punch biopsy, under a local anesthetic in the GYN's office. It's not a major procedure, but can leave you sore afterward. They're not actually looking for cancer but for something called Lichen Sclerosis, if your main symptom is itching. Google it and you'll get more info.
