Any tips or advice on how to remember for an exam?
I'm trying to update some of my skills and improve the looks of my resume since I recently lost my job yet I'm finding that my memory for this stuff is not adequate. I've tried writing things down 3 times over and over again but so far that hasn't been a great success either.
Any advice?

Hi CarolH,
I am a full time student. At 50 I am considered a non-traditional student. I have memory problems too. I review everyday to keep things familiar in my mind. As for tests, I go over my notes three times right before I take the test. The college I attend has flex classes that move very quickly. I like these type of classes because they go with my short term memory.

Thanks ladies,
I'm not going to school .. just studying books and hoping to pass an exam. (comptia +).. I have done the work for 15 years so you would think it would come easily to me but knowing what to do and how to do it is different than memorizing certain specifics especially when those specifics change so quickly. (CPU processor speeds, packages etc..) but I am reviewing it over and over again and making flash cards and reading out loud does seem to be helping me. Since I'm not quite sure what to expect from the exam I don't know if one word would be enough but maybe I could try to find a word association to trigger the remaining information.
Thanks for all the tips Now ..back to my whole to study. :-)

That's exactly what I did recently for an exam and I ended up memorizing it ALMOST word for word.
It WORKS!!!
