Hi Girls! Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to many of you who helped pull me thru a very difficult time. Before I was post, I would come to this thread, and I would read what Dearest, Mary, Irene, Debbrikia, zjsufer, Kalanie, Tiona, moozie, and MANY others wrote. I took it all in, like a kindergartner learning to read. I remember wondering if I would ever be as smart as those ladies (NO! still waiting ) or if I would ever be post, and have the worst behind me. Through their words, I learned that THIS TOO SHALL PASS, and I WOULD come out of it. Maybe a bit beaten up, but eventually proud of my battle scars. And that is what happened.

So... I'm one year post now, approaching 50, and I truly believe for the first time in 10 years, that I am better. I am wiser. I am more patient. I am stronger, and I am FOR SURE braver. I NEVER thought I would say this... but I am actually looking forward to the NEXT 10 years!!!

Good to hear Leanne....

I am 14 months without a 'proper' period, although I had some spotting in August (does that count?)....so I guess I am in the same boat as you, (I am 48 going on 49 in Dec) although I am still getting those bothersome night hotties that wake me and keep me awake......many other symptoms have faded and disappeared, hopefully for the good!

I hope to have that same lust for life that you are now feeling...SOOOOOON!

And you're right - those wiser voices kept us going during our "Walks through the Valley of the Shadow of Death."

Some of the women who were right there back in 2004, aren't here anymore, but I'll never forget them. Talk about the power of community.

And let's keep praying for Dearest, who began all of this, and who has since calmed the fear and heartache of thousands and thousands of women from around the world.
