So I had my hysterectomy a couple of weeks ago for cervical carcinoma in situ. I had my two week follow up today and was told I also had a uterus full of 3cm fibroids.
K so here is my questions/situation:
Since my surgery (kept ovaries) I have felt ten years younger and better than I have felt for a couple of years. I have yet to have any peri symptoms this entire two weeks without any form of treatment. I can't find any information with the fibroids and their relation to peri, only that they can put you into menopause earlier. Is it possible that the fibroids were causing my hormone problems? Has anyone had fibroids removed and perked up and felt better? I know the procedure alone could have thrown my hormones off balance for a bit, but it seems odd that I have went to the better side rather than the worst side (which most women normally have after hysters). Obviously I want to continue to feel better, just curious if my problems might be in a jar in a lab somewhere.
