I appreciate this board and thank all of you ladies for your support during this disgusting time
of turning Grey, hair falling out, wrinkles, old age spots (no whistles or looks from any men anymore unless they are at least 90 years old)

I'm 55. When I went in for my yearly check-up a couple of month ago my test came out OK but the nurse called to tell me I was definitely going through menopause.. DUH.

for a couple of weeks, I've have hot eyelids and hot throat. blink.gif This isn't the worst symptom I've had but I just haven't seen this one on the board.
Could this be hormone related? Anyone else experienced this stupid thing?
I really hate to tell a doc about this because of the blank stares
and looking at me like... OK............ she's nuts.............

When I wake up ( oh by the way I hate mornings and that awful feeling) I hear these awful popping noises from my "bones" joints.
The palps and no energy and anxiety have been The Worst.
Oh add Irritable bowel and indigestion.

I'm not taking anything, no meds or vitamins.

From the lack of knowledge. I just don't know what to take.

I have strange "hot spots" too. Sometimes I feel like my breath is really "hot." Also, the insides of my ears. My eyes feel hot sometimes, so I think I know how you feel. These aren't the worst of symptomslike you said, but added up they are so annoying, distracting and mood zapping. I have contstant indigestion. Prilosoc (otc) works ok, but sometimes I eat it like candy.

Search around on power surge, there are many suggestions for relief, of all kinds.

Best to you.

Bootsy, Welcome to PS

When hormones take a plunge, seems that everything short circuts. I've had so many different strange things happen in the last few years, anyone under 40 would think we are nuts!

I did deal with irritable bowel, and tried the IBS diet. This diet consists of eating more bread, rice and banana's with every meal. I also chew a couple benefiber tablets daily and have not had an attack in several months. I don't eat fried foods any longer and stay away from salads. This has helped me.

Lately, my other big concern has been joint pain (another wonderful menopause feature). I do some stretching exercises and stock up on Advil. This seems to be getting worse for me, and I'm not sure what else to do.

I do notice that things run in cycles, so whatever is bothering you this month, it will be a whole new set of problems next month! ohmy.gif

For days when I have the horrible anxiety, I take perscription Xanax. This seems to take the edge off, infact I am doing much better now with the anxiety, but mornings seem the hardest for me.

There is lots of info on this site that will be helpful. Hang in there.

Hugs, Juliann
