Hello Ladies,

Still trying to figure out this internal vibration/tremor symptom. Just went to my GP today and she just wants to put me on an antidepressant, and didn't see any connection to hormones. Darn these docs. I've been told from another source that the patch is not a good HRT since you don't absorb it evenly and can cause uneven hormone balances. Does anyone have a good experience with any other HRT meds or ever heard of the patch being a problem? Just another avenue to consider to address this disturbing symptom. Thanks a bunch!!

Dear 'Deed"

Have to tell you that my experience with HRT has been nothing but positive. It is synthetic but I have no choice as we have no availability to bio-identicals in this country.Having said that I have been on them for a number of years and always have regular check-ups with excellent results.

This is my personal experience and I am not advocating their use to you or anyone.I also suffered from inner and outer shaking and trembling and yes this was also helped by my use of Prozac at a very low dose.I think the great anxiety that I was going through led to Depression and Zanax,as needed, also zapped the anxiety.i hardly ever need it now but at the time it was a God send.

I still believe that yes,Doctors are here to help and guide us,but ultimately we have to be pro-active and well enough informed to make decisions about our own bodies.Menopause does present many challenges and some of us are harder hit than others and need a little more help along the way.I have been in this body for 57 years now so very sensitive to what does or does not suit me.

I wish you well in your choices.
Sincerely hope you will find relief soon
Blessings

Deed,

I have used many different forms for delivery estrogen (patches, creams, troches, gels) and prefer the patch over all others for its even, constant delivery rate.
If I were you, I would look at other hrt options available first to make sure you are on the best one for you.

My personal experience is that I do well on bioidenticals but not on synthetics. If you decide to explore the bioidentical route, find a compounding pharmacy in your area and ask them to recommend a dr. that works with them. That is how I found my doctor.

I use compounded progesterone and biest. I liked the patch, but my seemed as if my body was sucking up all the hormones in the patch within 24 hours.

I too wonder about the combipatch as I am having a terrible time with I guess anxiety and related symptoms. I am off to yet another endo to try and tie in the thyroid/adrenals. If everything comes back fine, I am going to succumb to something on a daily basis for the anxiety as I have had enough of living on the edge. Best of luck.
