Just wanted to let you all know that our PS fellow sister, davinci had a hysterectomy today.

Please send her good vibes, thoughts and prayers for a good, speedy recovery.

Hopefully will hear real soon from davinci on how she's doing as she said she'd be taking her
laptop with her to the hospital or when she gets home soon we'll hear from her soon. She said
she'd update me soon as she could.

Aww thanks you lovely ladies!

The surgery went wonderfully. I was in and out of surgery and recovery in less than two hours. They told me I was a real trooper and sent me on my way from recovery within 30 minutes of waking lol. I do have to stay an extra night now because my white blood cells are up (sign of infection) Doc told me sometimes surgery alone can make that happen and they just want to re run blood screen in the morning.

Really I have nothing more than let us say really heavy cramps a bit worse than post partum cramps but very little bleeding at all. The most pain I feel is the gas bubbles in my tummy, taking mylicon for that but can only have it every 12 hours. Seems they would have something better to make ya f**t.

For any of you facing this or have friends/family facing it, it isn't that bad at all. You don't even know what happened from the time you go under to the time you wake up. Crazy!

Thanks again girls, I may check in later on chat if I can keep my eyes open from these stupid pills lol.

Only saw one hunky male and he was the one knocking me out in the surgery room looool. The ice cream was super delish and I still have some left! It would be a mans dream, all of my nurses were hot females instead!

I hope anyone that ever has to have a hyster has it as well as I have. It was a walk in the park. Nowhere near the pain I suspected.

Again gals, thanks for all of the warm fuzzy thoughts. Can't wait to see some of you back on chat at night.

I was so glad to hear your hysterectomy went so well for you! Sounds like you are doing pretty good already for just having surgery other day and got to eat ice cream! Good yummy treat for you, after all you went through. Great your hubby brought you some and you soo deserved it! I told my hubby too, to bring me a chocolate milk shake too for me. hehe He said he will if they allow it, they better. lol

So glad to hear everything went so well and hope you get to go home soon,

I am home as of today. Doc had my pathology report before he released me....all clear not even any residual cells. So no CANCER to be found!

The ride home was rough, I felt every pot hole in the road. Of course coming off the morphine as of yesterday and only taking one of two pain pills at a time I am a bit uncomfortable but holding up reasonably well considering. The gas built up makes me look about 14 months pregnant with triplets.

Poor hubby has been so busy worrying over me he climbed in bed a bit ago and was snoring within 5 minutes . I guess that is my clue to go to bed myself lol.

So glad everything turn out good you take care of yourself and we shall chat when your better!!!! Hugs Terry

Thanks to all of you lovely gals. The no cancer news is the best thing out of this and the reason for doing it in the first place. Now to recover and I should be a new gal.

For those of you facing a possible hyster, it isn't as bad as you would think. Yah I ache but also not on my death bed!

You haven't long to go before your hysterectomy. How are you feeling now, more relaxed about the procedure?

Yeah Noreen, you doing okay with the upcoming surgery? When is your pre-ops?

Yesterday was a darn good day. No pain meds now since Tuesday night. I have some gas pains here and there and some lower back pain but that is it. Obviously still have to take it easy but what a relief in less than a week I am nearly feeling like my old self. The best part not one moment of peri symptoms so far (knock wood). Hopefully it has tossed my hormones a skew and they won't go back to the peri stage for a long time if ever. My cycle will be due again in about a week so I am interested to see what takes place with my body during that time. For now though---Thank God!

I am feeling still nervous, a bit better about the procedure but still nervous ,jittery like. Today I was feeling so restless,nervous off and on. I wanted to go for a drive and get out of the big city but hubby didn't feel like it. Also not being able to concentrate is getting worse. I need to do some more cleaning still ,should have done more last week but just could not concentrate hardly , get with it. I will have to get on the ball though now, just have about a week to get some things done. I am really behind. The worrying is getting worse for me the closer the hyster date gets to be. I'm a basketcase.

Hi davinci,

I'm trying to hang in there but have alot more jitters now that the date is getting closer and closer. Am behind on some cleaning as just can't concentrate hardly now and now my pre ops are coming up this week already. I go on Thursday for the pre op appt. with the Dr. and probably that same day also I'll go to the hospital for the pre op testing there or will go on Friday.

Glad to hear you're having good days davinci! And great you're not having to take pain meds anymore!

Don't concern yourself with the housework. Keep yourself busy, doing things that will take your mind off the hysterectomy.

It's natural for you to feel nervous, but after the op, you're going to wonder why you ever did*hugs*
