Hi ladies,

I posted the other day, about these tiny little whiteish/skin colored "bumps" (almost looks like a blackhead, but kind of skin/whiteish color) ...... there are two on my right eyelid area, closer in towards the nose a bit, NOT DIRECTLY ON the eyelid itself but a tiny bit up from that, where the bone is under your eyebrow......one is teeny tiny, the other, is just tiny....
now, on the left eye, i have a TEENY tiny one too .... exact same place!

I did a lot of research, as usual, and found two possibilities.........the most likely one SEEMS to be something called milia, the other, SEEMS to be from to high cholestrol. Now, the last time i had my cholestrol checked was over a year go, so it's prob. time to do that again, but, my appt. isn't till Oct. 8th ...

anyway, does anyone here have this? What are they? Like i said in my last post.....I FEEL LIKE I'M "sprouting"! LOL dry.gif

I have had a few them myself over the years, almost always around the eyes. Nothing to fret about.

I've had those, too. thought I had skin cancer. But they are just milia.

I recently found a video on YouTube that showed how a dermatologist got rid of them.

They don't recommend trying to extract them on your own but I confess to having done this.

I know you're scared and you should have it checked out to be sure but I really think it's probably milia.

Just yesterday, a co-worker was telling me about her "cholesterol bumps" on her eyelids. I'd never heard of such a thing. She was told they could be removed. There's a another name for the bumps, but it escapes me at the moment.

They're called milia. They don't "pop" like a pimple. I get them all of the time. Some on my eyelids and some on my cheeks (right under the eyes). You aren't supposed to try to get rid of them yourself, but of course who listens? I clean the area with alchohol, clean a needle with alchohol, and then put a pin prick hole right through them. Then you can gently ease the milia out.

I wouldn't recommend trying this on the eyelid though----you might poke a hole in your eye unsure.gif

I have these too over the years. I had one removed by dermotologist (near my eye)...they actually take this instrument and press around the bump really hard, until it pops off. It kind of hurts a little while they do it. I have also had other ones that just disappear on their own. The ones on the eyelid must be hard to remove. They are harmless and just look weird. My daughter asks me all the time "Mom when is that thing on your eyelid gonna fall off?"......I wish I knew! cool.gif
