Does anyone get tingiling? Mine is in the arms.

Hi cari:

I get the tingling sensations in my hands, arms, legs, and sometimes my face. It is a real anxiety booster but I believe related to peri and anxiety.

Most certainly and at one stage they were directly related to my hot flashes. If the phone suddenly started to ring the shock would bring on all the tingling, especially in my arms and hands. I really don't wory about it any more.

Yup had this too and still do on occasion, for me I think it's anxiety related, it usually hits me first thing it the morning when I wake early with anxiety. Gawd I HATE this waking early with anxiety most probably from high cortisol levels which are probably high from the ongoing anxiety, sheeesh what a viscious cycle mad.gif . Sometimes I get it down the fronts of my legs too and it comes in surges so I'm fairly convinced it's adrenal surges from anxiety. Last year when I was on an AD and had virtually no anxiety I never had this sensation for months and months on end. Now I'm virtually weaned off the AD and the anxiety is back and so are all the other wonderful things that go along with it sad.gif . I have a major health anxiety worry at present which is slowly doing my head in but I'm hoping the new holistic doctor I will be seeing again in 2 weeks after some follow up blood tests might put my mind at ease as I can't live my life like this for much longer, it is no quality of life to be anxious all the time.

You said it, Rox. Quality of life. The anxiety that comes with this stuff totally lowers the quality of our day to day . . . existence. Oh, there's a bright spot now and then, but for the most part, we're fenced in with not many choices until our bodies figure it out . . . .and I'm wondering if mine ever will.

I am now 9 months without a period and a whole new scenario is starting to emerge. I can tell you that it is not pleasant. I suspect that oestrogen levels are rock bottom. I feel a lot more relaxed and get to sleep quite well. However I wake about two hours later. I am still fairly relaxed but I feel strangely tingly all over, just as if am only half there. Sorry it is very difficult to explain. My hands are usually tingly and numb and it feels as if I could forget to breathe, given half a chance. I feel as if I have to remind myself to stay alive, if that makes sense. I kind of feel as if I could dissolve into the bed. A bit of moving around brings things back to life. I have also developed a lot of swelling and pain in my nose and sinuses which is resulting in a generalised headache. I started all this madness at 38 and I am now 53. I really could use some peace from all this. It really does go on and on.
