Hi ladies unsure.gif

I need some feedback. I am expecting my period any moment but since last week I have been feeling very sick. First I started with the dizziness and feeling very tired and now I have been having this constant headaches in my left side that takes my ear and sometimes my left eye. I might feel sometimes kind of hot and I know those are the hot flashes but what is bothering me is those headaches. Sometimes I get scared thinking is a tumor wacko.gif but I had a Ct scan about 4 months ago and everything turnout normal. Is this normal, I mean the headaches, how does it feel to you guys. I am scared to have something serious inside my head. Please describe yours so I can know what to do.

Hi Cas,

I just got my period last Friday after not seeing it for 4 months but I have also been getting headaches and dizzy too. I also wonder if I have a tumor in my head every time I have a headache that isn't normal feeling, or anything else going on with my body I always think I have some dreaded disease. I never used to get headaches at all, not until I started this peri stuff.

Is your blood pressure normal? I found that I got high BP when I started peri. If your BP is high, it can cause headaches and dizziness. Low BP can also cause dizziness. It's best to have it checked out. And, it could all just be another symptom of peri. Take care.

Hi casuja,

I went through a period of time when I had headaches every day. Since my hormones were so whacky, it was hard to know what was causing what. I can tell you, though, that the headaches have all but gone away.

As for dizziness, I can really empathize as well. I find that I become dizzy if I am not well-hydrated, or if I have not eaten enough, or if I jump up too fast. If I drink and eat and get up slowly, I am ok.

I hope you feel better very soon!

Best,
Marcy

My headaches are in my crown and I also get kind of hot. This is really driving me crazy Urgggg. I really hate this. When is not a thing is another I feel like I am always sick. Thanks for ur reply.

Good to hear your BP is normal. I had a little scare last week with my BP. We changed my BP med from a diuretic type to a beta blocker because the diuretic sent me to the bathroom so often. Two weeks after the change I had it checked, and it was 160/88! That about freaked me out. My BP had been doing great (117/72 at one visit last month), so he was trying me on a lower dose of the new medicine. I noticed last week that I felt kind of dizzy and headachy. We upped my dosage, and I noticed this week that the headache was pretty much gone. Except this morning but I think it was my sinuses - a cold front went through and the weather is cool and cloudy. I think in peri we are more sensitive to weather changes. I am, anyway.

I am just at the 1-year mark of no periods (Yea!), but I still get night sweats. Not drenching, but enough to bother me and I'm throwing off the covers. Then I get chilled and I cover up again. It was cooled down a lot here in Georgia this week, and I'm sleeping better. I still get very warm moments during the day, but not raging hot flashes. I've had those. All these symptoms can make you a little crazy and wonder if they are signs of something major. But, it's mostly those hormones going nuts.

Hang in there!
