Hi ladies.I have been on bcp for over a year now to help my awful peri symptoms. They have been working well. Then for the past few months I have had a huge increase in PMS.I start having symptoms a week before my sugar pill week is due. Then of course I have the sugar pill week itself.I am so frustrated.I do not want to switch pills again as I do not think it is going to help.I do not have insurance, and cannot afford to go the Dr every time I have a new symptom of peri.Besides as we all know there is really nothing that is going to make it all go away.Part of me wants to just stop taking the bcp and try using vitamins, etc. But I am so afraid that I would just be a nasty witch to my kids and husband and be crying all the time like I was before I started the bcp. This increased PMS is pushing me to my limits.I am mean on the inside for two weeks,I am also having that low abdominal cramping and feeling of heaviness, sore breasts, spotting, discharge, headache, tiredness and bloting-all of this goes on for the week before and the week during my period.I am so confused.I am only 32,and I get so mad,so upset when I think I could be spending the rest of my life suffering every month for two weeks.Does anyone here now of a vitamin I could take that I could use along with my bcp to make these two weeks more bearable?? I am pretty sure that nothing I can afford is going to take it all away-but I really could use a little help.I am currently taking a daily multi,magnesium(500mg)for palps and muscles,a joint complex, and my bcp. Also can splenda and nutra sweet make PMS worse, because I have been drinking more sugar free drinks.I just need some reassurance and help-this is getting me down so much.I am so tired of just getting by,I want to feel good for a change.GOD-bless

Lady E,

Many people feel they are helped a lot by Evening Primrose - I so hope it will help you!

You are too young to be dealing with these symptoms - my heart goes out to you. My cousin went through menopause in her early 30's, and it was very sad - she was dealing with such rough stuff, at a time when many of us were feeling very good...

Thanks.I have taken 4 capsules so far.Three yesterday-one this morning. The funny thing is I already feel a bit better.Usually things do not work fast for me.I feel less of the cramping in my lower abdomen and my breasts are not as sore.I also feel a bit less weepy.I pray this is going to truly keep helping, because I would much rather use something natural.I am already having to take the BCP to help my horrible symptoms,I did not want to have to take another chemical.I believe GOD will continue to help.As for being so young, yes it makes it harder, but I keep the hope in my heart that maybe it will end soon and I will have more time to just enjoy life.GOD-bless
