Does anyone else here have bloating, back pain, swollen boobs etc even when you skip periods? I feel like I am pregnant all the time here lately and still waiting on a period even though this PMS stuff has been going on for over two weeks now.

Yes my dear
I had the very same symptoms prior to being Menopausal. At times felt my belly was going to burst and was going to deliver a melon or something. And my nipples would be extremely sore and tender just like being pregnant.
So don't worry these symptoms are very normal in peri and will improve.

Keep us posted and hope you feel better soon

Blessings

Hi,

I get the same thing. Sometimes I have PMS for 3 months straight. It is awful. I am bloated/cramping/headaches and nothing.....eventually it shows up. One time, after going threw this for 3 months, my doctor gave me a prescription for progesterone. Once a day for 10 days then the period shows up. It still doesn't relieve the symptoms. I think the only relief you get is from a natural period....then after it ends you start PMS the next day! rolleyes.gif

I have only skipped two periods and I have felt like I was going to start any minute now for the past two weeks.

The last period I had was only one day long and it was wonderful - not because it was short - but because I felt so good. I remember distinctly feeling very warm and cuddly and peaceful.

During the last year, I have started noting when I have a "really good period" (can you believe that one?), where my body feels like it has gone through a very "natural and healthy" cycle.

The past week, I have a very strong image of myself as pregnant and I have never been pregnant. I feel so round and full. I feel like a big juicy peach.

Though I don't wish this stuff on anyone, I am relieved to hear that there are others who experience this. I feel like my insides are full of rusty pipes that are trying to shut down. Still getting juice but not wanting to cooperate.

I haven't skipped any periods yet, but I have cramps like I'm about to get my period throughout the whole month. Does anyone else have that? And yes, the soar breasts. My period is due next Friday, but I've had cramps and soar breasts for a week already. I also ovulated right after my period last month. I don't feel good, I'm exhausted and emotional. I am getting worried that I have cancer or something.
I had an abnormal pap last year. He did a biopsy, no cancer but "pooosible" HPV. I was suppose to go get redone in 6 months, but I lost my insurance, so haven't gone back. I think I'm going to have to go to the free clinic to get checked out. Also wondering if anyone has ever had vulvar cancer? I know, a wierd question, but if anyone has, could you tell me what the symptoms were? How you maybe suspected that you might have it?

Thanks,
Faith

My PMS symptoms vary month to month. Sometimes, I experience nothing and other times, I get a variety. I haven't had a period for just over a year now.

I've had a couple of these "phantom periods"! I've experienced the normal period symptoms, minus the cramping beforehand. Instead I just had a sort of dull ache low in my abdomen, breast tenderness, etc. but the bleeding never started. I've also noticed that while my periods have seemed on average to begin 8 to 9 days later than "normal" for the past year or so (34-35 days apart instead of 26), I get that twingy feeling that lets me know its coming at about the normal time my period used to start. So I have an uncomfortable, but not painful, lower abdomen for 8 days or so before my actual period begins, rather than just a day or so before my period, as it used to be.
