Okay I KNOW I"m not pg, on the tail end of a very heavy period, hubby fixed, and all that.

For the past couple weeks, on and off, I've felt vaguely "pregnant"...you know, kind of moody about food, appetite goes on and off, slight nauseous feeling at times, tired, etc. Basically, feeling pregnant! haha. Oh and can't forget the cranky mood.... Not sure if this is related to thyroid, or possible perimenopause, or just one of those things. I'm only 33, have one other post on this forum. I possibly have Hashi's thyroid, but my TSH is not high enough to need treatment (on the contrary, we thought it was, I started synthroid and it immediately swung me hyper, not so good...I got back off.)

Just wondering about this strange hormonal feeling....

When peri first hit me really hard 3 yrs ago every morning I would wake up and feel that awful morning sickness feeling like when I was pregnant and I would actually dry wretch into the kitchen sink while making breakfast. Thankfully this passed but not for many months in which time my health anxiety exploded into new territory.

Now I just have a million other symptoms to contend with on a daily basis sad.gif

I have had the symptoms of being pregnant as well. The morning sickness, crying jags, swelling in the gut, appetite up and down, ugh I hate peri!

Hope that you are feeling better.

Yeah! What is with that! I notice even smells are making me a little queasy! Again, I know for sure I am not preggo...but I'd think it if I didn't know better! Goes on and off, has been about two weeks now. And my gut will bloat at the drop of the hat...almost like some days an entire waistband size!

Thanks all for your replies...

Is it possible to start peri...and then get pg and then all that...and then to start back up again later? I mean, I started researching peri a little bit before I had my last child because my hormones seemed so weird...and then of course had the baby and breastfed for a year....during which my thyroid was going kind of crazy...but now I know my hormones are doing strange things again, slowly but surely, and not sure if its just all the old stuff coming back now that my body is done with the baby thing...

Anyway, thanks...I guess I'm not just imagining it!

I've had this morning sickness feeling, too. It's been going for about a year. Sometimes it lasts all day and sometimes it eases up in the evening. I have other peri-symptoms that go along with it - night sweats, lots of trouble sleeping, anxiety at times, loss of appetite. I'm really sick of it.

Not sure if I ever had the pregnant feeling, but did have the morning dry heaves for a spell.
