This may sound like a strange symptom but has anyone here suffered with nose sores? I have had a recurring one for about 9 months now. Mainly in the same place on the inner side of my right nostril - on the boney bit (sometimes get it in the other nostril too), have been to the Dr's regarding this and he gave me Naseptin cream. This always clears it up very quickly but as soon as I stop using it after about 5 days the sore place comes back. Doctor has reassured me that it's nothing nasty as it wouldn't react so well to the cream otherwise.
I am sure I read somewhere that the lining of the nose can lack mosture during peri-menopuase, anyone else heard of that?
I would be grateful for any replies. Thank you.

A few years ago my son had the same problem....it turned out to be caused from allergies.Once he started taking claritin daily it got better.

Yes, I have had this same thing. I told my husband and he said oh it's just allergy put on Boroleum which I did and it helps too but it was there for awhile then it would come back. And it's mostly that one area that gets dry and itchy still and I never had that before I started this peri hell either.

I have one of these too at this present time and I have noticed that I have been sneezing more lately and it's approaching allergy season here. My obstetrician once told me when I was pregnant and having lots of sinus issues and bleeding noses that the inside of our nasal passages are sensitive to hormones much like the inside of our vaginas. He said when Estrogen ran high like in pregnancy our vaginas became very plump and the inside of our nasal passages clogged up too hence the sinus pressure and bleeding noses. So it makes sense that at the other end of the spectrum when Estrogen runs low that our vajayjays shrivel and dry up that our nasal passages do too to some extent. I remember my mum complaining about nasal passage dryness and she had lots of weird dry skin things around her face, ears and neck at this time and I think I may be heading that way too

I've had several major infections in and on my nose. Very weird. All three times I had to go on antibiotics to clear it up. Another X-File in my Meno Mystery Bag.
