I'm back again...hi sad.gif

I am 13 months w/no period and other than encountering a tragic personal event a few months ago, I've been feeling okay. "Maintaining" my sanity, if you will. This morning I got some of the worst anxious feelings in awhile. My stomach and intestines are tore up right now. Stomach, nausea and other intestinal stuff sends my anxiety meter on high alert. I don't what came first, the anxiety or the stomach distress. Did I mention the palps, vibrating and dizziness. Nice. At any rate, i took a 1/2 xanax and will try to listen to my meditation music.

I thought this stuff was supposed to go away after crossing the 12 month barrier mellow.gif Any thoughts?

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. Just when you think it might be gone for good........it's back (and at times with a vengance!). Do whatever you need to do to get through this rough patch and just remember, you WILL be feeling great again!!! You can not forget that this can be very short-lived, and you have to stay focued on the fact that you KNOW it goes away. It won't hang around Gia, you have to remember that. Just as quickly as it returned, it will leave again. You know what it's like to feel really good, stay focused on that.

Hugs,
Karen

Gia,

I have been post since 2000 and when stressful events happen I get through them just fine but when they are over that is when all the anxiety and old peri symptoms hit with me with full force. I think the stress hormones really mess with all the other hormones in your body and can make life pretty crazy. Hope you feel better soon!!

Hugs,
Gramz

I know I go through phases where I just feel checked-out and I can't even think of how to reply. I read the posts and sometimes I can relate, other times I can't, however; I always wish peace and comfort for everyone going through these crazy times (I just don't always take the time to write)!
I always know that I can count on you to reply, understand and relate to what I'm going through. I know that many women feel that way about you Gia. We need you here, you can't leave us!!! You know the time differences across the world also effect the boards and when people post.
You're a great friend Gia, please stick around, we're here for you smile.gif

Dear Gia
Passed the no Period many years ago but still have intermitent anxiety attacks. They are definitely fewer and far between but have to resort to Zanzax just to keep my head on.

Have a feeling that some of us are more prone to anxiety than others and when something really stressful happens it affects us quite badly.Have tried the breathing and the "Floating Through"Techniques but they do not work for me so do always keep a Zanax in my purse just in case.

Don't worry or dwell too much on this feeling.Thank God we have the resources to treat it.

God Bless,friend

Dear Gia

ust want to echo what Elizabeth said. I am almost 4 years past my last period and the anxiety symptoms are still bad. I still feel as if I have prementrual syndrome and the last few days I have felt really jittery. Stomach churning, extra bowel motions, aches and pains, flatulence, just really panicky. Today I feel a bit better. This is definitely hormonal. I dont know if any other ladies find this but the docs in the UK dont seem to want to prescribe tranquillizers, they seem to be more into the anti-depressants, at least that has been my experience and I could do with something to take the edge of this anxiety.

All the best of luck to you
