If I start taking my BCP continously, with only a break every three months, how long will I spot?I tried to do this once and spotted all month. The next month I took my sugar pill week.I am so tired of the horrible symptoms during the off week though, and they have been getting worse.I have finally decided to just go continous-and wonder if anyone here has done this and if so how long the spotting will last. Thanks and GODbless

Dear Lady E
Am on Angeliq and for the first three months spotted continuously.Went back to the Gyno.who said the dose was too low and to take two tablets instead of one.Was quite surprised but yes it has worked and spotting stopped completely and also hot sweats reduced quite nicely.Have regular checkups and so far very good.
Angeliq is also taken continuously so no withdrawal bleeding.Works well for me so hopefully you have success also.

Please keep us posted

Best Wishes

I went on Orthocyclen continuously for the last year and now am having big problems. I would use the pill continuously for 3-6 pill packs and then maybe go on a estrogen patch for the weeks off. I think using the pill continuously may have caused me to become estrogen dominant.

I understand. I am on Seasonique for a year and two months now and the bleeding started again 3 weeks before my period was due. The real period which started Sunday was awful. Sunday was heavy and painful. Now just daily bleeding, not too bad, but def. there and clotty. I am having a hormone test tomorrow. I am still flashing and having night sweats again. My ob thinks I need an adjustment.

I hope you feel better.
