I have now developed a sensitivity to smells, heat and stress. Perfume will make me extremely dizzy and anxious, heat will send me into a panic (even being out in the sun) and the slightest stress makes my hand shake and my heart race. Does anyone out there experience these types of sensitivities, also?

Dear Dizzy D

Yes, yes, yes, I too am very sensitive to heat like most of the other ladies here. In a hot room or higher temperatures the flashing can be merciless. I have found that I am hypersensitive to sound and lights. Cannot stand florescent lighting or flashing on the TV as it send me dizzy. Also, if I feel nauseous then the smell of food is off-putting - like pregnancy really with the nausea thing but it goes on for much longer and wears you down.

Heat gets to me so much more than it ever has.I got sick trying to grill some food outside this summer-that is not like me.I can also smell things much stronger now.It reminds me of being pregnant.

Ditto here too> not so sure if it so much the heat as the sun. Can’t stand being out in the sun and getting hot?
My skin is very sensitive!
Riding down the road and smelling fumes from other cars makes me sick at my stomach.
My teeth are even sensitive to heat and cold.
Sound> bright light too.

Hey Dizzy,

Sorry you are experiencing that right now. I know a friend who is sensitive also In fact, they don't even allow patients to wear perfume at her doctor's office cause so many are effected! I have noticed I am more sensitive to loud sounds and watching sports. I purchased a meditation book on highly sensitive people and that helps. God bless and have a good day!

Yes I do! I have noticed that over the last few years it has gotten worse too. The smells I mean. I cant stand anything out of the ordinary at all. Also have noticed an increased sensitivity to light. Thought I was losing my mind but alas I am not, just peri!!!

Hi Ladies
Add me to the list!Am very sensitive to smells, especially to ones that everyones else says don't exist. Can't bear the smell of most cleaning products-good excuse for not cleaning. Also was a real perfume girls always searching for the perfect smell. Now cannot even wear my favourites as they literally sicken me..
loud noises drive me crazy along with bright lights so don't stay in the Malls too long.Als find am very intolerant to T.V. whereas I used to love a good film or Murder Mystery.Find the News too dpressing to bother with. It's funny because I don't mind going to the Movies.

Menopause is the strangest Beast I have ever encountered.

Sitting here sweating although I take HRT but it seems the change really happens even when hormonally helped! Why can't perios end and that is that. Why do we have to go through so much.I really envy those lucky ladies who really "Breeze" through or maybe they are faking!

Good luck and hugs to all.
Just going to hit the shower.Use baby soap as those scented ones make drier and itchier than ever
Don't think I could ever been on the Dove campaign, smiling and sexy at seventy and eighty!

Me Too!!!!!

Can't stand strong smells.....get over anxious VERY easily....my thoughts are racing with the possibilities of 'what if's' (catastrophic things usually)....sometimes can't get my mind off a tune I've listened to more than once and it plays in my head over and over again...help!!

Too many problematic annoyances have occurred in these last few years, I just hope they go away soon and don't increase more!
