The other day I caught a glance at my naked self walking past a full-length mirror at home. I usually try to stay away from the mirror until the clothes are on, but this time I couldn't help noticing how the area between my belly button and thighs seems to have expanded lately despite exercising regularly. As long as I was examining the bulges, I got out the hand mirror to get an update on the cellulite situation on the rear end. It was then I noticed that I had more fat/cellulite at the bottom of the right cheek. It was just kind of hanging out there as if it had no where else to go. I quickly put on the underwear and safely tucked that extra bottom into the undies hoping it would stay there.

Then I started wondering how long has that little feature been there and why both sides didn't have that extra bit of cellulite; just the right side. I'm just wondering if anyone has noticed perimenopausal cellulite/fat growth where one side seems to get a head start on the other. I'm not terribly worried, but if I'm going to get bulges, I prefer them to be bilateral so I don't start walking in circles or fall over. Fortunately, I'm okay for now because my left breast is a little larger than the right which helps to balance out the cellulite on the right cheek.

I love your sense of humor! biggrin.gif

Cellulite is Public Enemy #1 for me and I realize that if this is my worst problem, then I am very lucky. BUTT it still bothers me. I have the majority of it on my thighs. It's gotten worse since peripause. And here's the thing - I don't have any on my butt - the part that CAN be covered up.......I have it for God and the world to see on my cottage cheesy thighs. Maybe I should dig out my old riding chaps and wear them with nothing underneath - then my smooth butt would show but the thighs would be covered tongue.gif

You are both cracking me up this morning! laugh.gif
I guess since we have to deal with these body issues, we may as well laugh about them!

I too have noticed more cellulite on my buttocks in the past year or so - despite walking and exericising! I have noticed that my legs look firmer since walking regularly, and what cellulite I have on them is less noticable. But, nothing has helped it on my rear! But, like you said, Marrin, at least we can keep that part covered up - most of the time! rolleyes.gif

Has anyone tried any of those creams that are suppose to help cellulite and had any success with them??

Have a humorous day!

I tried Nivea cream for cellulite. Nothing....zip...nada. Except for waste of $$$$ but it did get me massaging my thighs on a regular basis. Which is all to the good since massaging helps break up the leetle fat cells. "Dry rub" with a loofah is supposed to be a good idea. Just reminds me of something I have to do with my Thanksgiving turkey. wink.gif

Looks like cellulite is something we are just going to have to accept. I did have my husband take a gander, and he didn't think it was that bad - a little lopsided but not as much as I had thought. This is why I love my husband. After being together for 22 years, I can say, "Honey, tell me if my butt looks even to you." He thinks this is a legitimate question and should be given a serious answer. He shares his opinion, and we move on to whatever we were doing. You can't do that when you're in the dating stage!
