I have just found this forum and boy am I being educated! I h ave found that alot of symptoms which I just shush away are actually the same as many women have....But I have one which I havent seen listed here by others yet....I have been post menapausal for over 3 years.....I have severe vulva itching.....on the outside only, and no rash. Doctors cannot seem to control it in any way, sometimes a anti fungal will help temporariliy but it always comes back within a month! I cannot sleep at all it is uncontrollable! Days are not as bad as nights. Anyone have this, please please please write and tell me what you do.......Jill

Welcome! It might be lichens planus. Very common in women, in menopause, and on the vulva. You could try a hydrocortison or benadryl cream to control the itching. Avoid very hot baths and showers, and don't let the skin dry out. Dry skin is an itch's best friend. Good luck; hope to see you around!

I have it too!! Very bad at times!! Wakes me up at night sometimes too!!

Have had it since my mid 30's. Does that mean I have been in peri for 15 years???

It did go away for a while, but IT'S BAAAAACCCCKKKK!!!!

And I have a comb dedicated just for scratching.

I hope everyone else in the house knows that!!

That's why you should USE YOUR OWN COMB!!!

OOOOOO YUCK!!!!

I figured it was safe to say this here.

hmmmmm

I've been meaning to ask about this very thing. My vulval itching has been driving me NUTS! It's clean and free of livestock, so what's the problem? I don't shave it, so it's not hair growing back. I haven't changed soaps. I was using a clothes detergent that was making me itch all over, but I've changed that. The body itching has calmed, but not the personal itch.

I'm SO glad I live alone so I can just reach in and start scratching when the need arises!
