I have been having hot flashes for about a year or so now. They are getting worse and worse and I sometimes stink! Does anyone have a recomendation for the best deoderant to use? Thanks!

I started using extra strength Mitchum gel. So far so good. I also have a natural deodorant crystal, and I use that between the breasts and underneath them, and in other places that sweat. It helps a lot. I wish I could find and anti perspirant for my face though!!

I too use extra strength Mitchum, but it's the solid. I think it works beautifully. Where does one find a natural deodorant crystal, Floater?
Thanks!

Ok maybe I will try that one. Another friend told me to try men's deoderant too. Guess I will sneak soem of DH's to see how it works!! Or maybe he would prefer if I buy the unscented....

I am sure you could find the natural crystal deodorants in a health food store. I actually found mine in a book store! It was weird that they were selling deodorant in a bookstore, but I bought it there anyway, I think it cost around $5 and it has lasted for months and is still huge!! Cheap!!

I had a hard time finding a deodorant that would work for a long time. Tried just about everything on the market (including Mitchum) and finally decided to use hubby's RightGuard. Worked like a charm and after a few years, I've been trying to get back to women's again, but I find that some days a woman's deodorant works great and other days not, so I bounce between the two.

In addition to the deodorant, I have heard many "old wives" tales about what causes body odor, but here is one simple one that works for me. I drink at least a gallon of water daily. I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but the more I drink, the less I stink! Of course, I still sweat like crazy, and pee like a horse, but there is NO odor! Go figure?
And soda, coffee, tea, wine and any other liquid doesn't do the trick. Has to be water. You can still drink the other stuff in addition to the water, if your bladder can take it.

After putting on deodorant (I use Secret solid), I spritz perfume under my arms. If I do perspire, I smell like Chanel No. 5.

I am a Mitchum girl too - the ladies pink one in roll on - the spray is not so effective.

I use Secret Platinum in Vanilla Chai. It's a light scent, but I haven't perspired once undermy arms while "flashing"....if only I could bathe in it and keep the rest of me dry!
