I started BHRT back in January with estrogen and progesterone. I felt better mentally but started gaining weight. I stopped the estrogen in April thinking I must be estrogen dominant because I have such huge breasts and large middle. I kept taking the progesterone thinking it would manage the excess estogen. The weight leveled for a bit and is now on the rise again. I was never told to cycle the progesterone so I have been putting it on the fat of my leg everyday for 6 months now and now I wonder if I have too much progesterone. My breasts hurt and are growing to the point of being a nuiscance and are heavy on my neck and shoulders. I have no get up and go anymore but luckily no depression or anxiety which I have had major problems with before. Sometimes I wonder if it's just because it's summer and I'm getting all this great sunshine. Anyway I don't know what to do, I can't keep gaining weight I'm at 247 today!

summermoon,
I took progesterone for years, BHRT. One of the side effects that I just couldn't deal with were terribly sore breasts. It got so bad that I couldn't stand for anyone to get near me for fear that they would just bump into me. Doc said it's because it causes lots of water to build up in the breasts but I really don't understand why that makes them so sore. I decided to quit taking it and felt much better in that regard. I didn't want to appear to be standish toward people and couldn't explain my problem either. I felt it was best to stop taking BHRT. I really didn't start to gain weight until I stopped taking all hormones.
