Yes, during peri. it does occur more often. I've had it more often over the last year. For me, it triggers after sex

. The Dr. said because that area is drying, and during intercourse, the rubbing inflames the urinary tract...Even though I lubricate before and during sex, it can still be inflammed - Oy Vey - guess I'll need more lubicration then what I've used.
What does help also is to urinate before...and after sex.
Also - my family Dr. said, the antibiotic I take during the UTI - what can be used as a preventor is one antibiotic pill after sex. I haven't done that yet - but I will. Take care.
