Anyone on this for getting back to "normal" shape???
Personally, most of the food looks gross to me and I'd much rather eat healthy BUT dealing with perimenopause and 2 young children takes it ALL out of me. Somedays I just eat crap because i'm do disgusted and "can't" prepare anything healthy. The idea of quick and easy microwave meals are starting to appeal to me.
Thanks!

I looked at their website and there's different plans. For me, it's too expensive at this time. Jenny Craig is the same - food is expensive.

I tried Nutrisystem and the food was absolutely disgusting. Then I did Jenny Craig--it was expensive, but worth it. After the first month, I quit buying their breakfasts and lunches...I bought my own, just matching the calorie counts and fat grams to the Jenny food. My counselor didn't mind at all. Whichever one you try--Good luck!!!!!!!

I tried Nutri System and the method they use is to absolutely disgust you. The food is like dog and cat food. Don't waste your money. I am way plumb right now, but just lost 17 lbs in a month on South Beach Diet.

Wow, I am SO glad I read this thread; my husband and I keep watching those Nutrisystem commericals and saying "gee, maybe.." but the food is really bad??? Why in the world do these people come on tv and talk about how "delicious" it is? That makes me very angry...false advertising...

I get emails from a place called Consumer Daily who reports on things that affect consumers. One of their reporters did the diet last year for 3 months and he said the same thing. He thought the whole point of the diet is to make everything taste so awful that you lose weight by default, if you don't get so hungry that you just go off the diet.

He talked about the mashed potatoes that were like sawdust and the cardboard food. He was so grossed out by most of it that he couldn't eat much. He put the effort into it and did lose weight but mostly because he couldn't eat.

Their commercials are ridiculous. I especially love the one with the stupid woman who makes it sound like such a big deal that she is a girl and can catch a football! Because none of us have ever done that in our lifetimes and she's the only girl who could ever do that. Yeah, right.

It is interesting that I saw this post because I also have been wondering about the advertisement for Nutrisystem.

Those before pictures just don't seem to go with the after results in my opinion. Marie Osmond and the woman who catches the football claims to have lost about 40 pounds...well based upon their before pictures and the end result it seems as if they would need to lose a lot more than 40 pounds to look that good. I hope what I'm typing is making sense smile.gif. Hmm....it just make me wonder. Did someone say false advertisement dry.gif? I am just wondering..... smile.gif

Hi My Faith. I feel the same way. When I saw the add with Marie my jaw dropped and my first thought no way that after picture is just 40 lbs? She looks like we looked when we were 20?? Like that was a picture from way back when. Then I got sad and second thought woah "liposuction"? Starvation? Plastic Surgery?? I think these dramatic ads we see are only to get our monies... not promote our overall health and well being. I hope she's okay...

I am positive that when people go on television to sport their new bodies, they're probably wearing ultra body shapers, panty girdles, or duct tape!

How about the commercial about 2 years ago where the lady lamented how she was a size TEN and now she's a size TUUUWWWOOOO (I'm not kidding, she said TUUUWWWWOOO instead of two). What's wrong with a size ten?
Marrin7
<sigh> Size 10

Excuse me while I slink away and cry......... sad.gif

I remember size 10 fondly...
