My periods have been all over the map in the last year, 20 days, 42 days, 28 days, ect..... you get the picture. Well, I am just living with it and this month I started on July 4th had a normal period and low and behold the 17th/last Thurdsay I started with light bleeding again. I am not bleeding heavy but I guess this is yet another period. I usually spot 3-7 days before my periods and I only spotted about 12 hours this time before I started. I thought it was going to stop last night but started back up this morning. I called the doc on Thursday and the nurse said in this time of my life it is pretty normal. I do have two fibroids and have annual paps and my last uterine ultrasound was last Oct. I told him I was going back on my Natural progesterone cream and he told me to start it 12 days from yesterday and use until I start my period again. Has this helped anyone before? Also, this may be TMI but when you have your period is the blood somewhat slimy looking? I would appreciate any answers, thanks so much.

Dear Lisa you will proably get alot of different opinions on this one.... But I for one use a natural progestrone cream and for me it does seem to work...
For example I did not use it the month of June and I had 2 periods that was only 17 days apart.... After that I decided to go back on the cream... So far so good.... As far as slimmy blood yes I have had that before many times... My question for you... Did the cream help you before????You mentioned you were starting it back. Everything during this phase of our lives is so unpredictable as you know... I hope the cream works for you and keep us up-dated.. Big Hugs Lisa and Hang In there..

I did use if before and stopped a little over a year ago. I had some weird things going on and basically went off all my supplements and I just never started back up the progesterone cream. My doctor told me to use the cream starting the 12th day after I started this time and to use it until I start my next period when ever that might be and start the cycle all over again. This period is so different than my other ones, hardly any spotting and it seems I bleed heavier in the morning almost stopping and night and then the next morning it kicks in full force. Thanks for answering about the slimy thing, it is just so nasty I hated to ask. Thanks for the hugs and it is nice to know there are so many other women going through this mess right along with me.
