Why is it my boobs seem to be getting larger in recent years...I haven't put on any more weight...in fact I am a couple of pounds less than what I used to be!
Is it normal to have enlarged boobs as a result of hormonal changes due to peri/menopause?
Most people would say it is OK to have bigger boobs but I am small framed and only 5ft 2"...and have always wished I could have slightly smaller ones....but its going the opposite way!

I don't know, but it sounds like an estrogenic effect - wonder if it could be estrogen dominance?
Mine got smaller! but then I'm pretty sure I was lacking estrogen as I had other low-estrogen effects like vaginal dryness.

I can not remember what I was using whether it was the Vivelle patch or something else, but I also noticed an increase. Then again I've also packed on a lot of weight since starting perimenopause six years ago. With in the recent months the weight is beginning to come off, but I'm still the same cup size.

Yeah! Wha happened?
I said at one time I felt like I was now carrying two watermelons instead of what I'm used to, which is much smaller produce.
I hope "things" get back to normal......I feel like enough of a "boob" without having to be reminded by two intruders!
Glad to know I'm not alone in this.....dont' you wish they were balloons and we could just pop them and be on our way?
It MUST be hormones.....I hope it doesn't last too much longer................

I went up one full cup size in my early 40's for no reason! I've always weighed around 105 pounds and only 5'3" tall. I went from a C cup to a full D in what seemed to be a couple of months time. I'm now 54 and still a full D cup.

I've been wondering about this myself. I now weigh maybe 10-12 pounds more than I used to in my late 20s. The other day I tried on some of my old bras, which were A and B cup (36), and I can't believe I used to fit into those little things! I just bought a new bra, after doing some measuring, and my new size seems to be 34 DD!

Bear in mind that bra manufacturers have changed their sizing over the years. My whole life, other than during pregnancies, I was a 36B. I now weigh about 5 pounds more than I did when I was 20, and I've gradually gone from a B to a C to a small D. My breasts have not changed (except to get droopier!) I also used to be a size 8-10. Now I'm a 6. Bra makers want us to think we're big, and clothing manufacturers that we're small. If you recall, there was no size '0' when we were young.
Oh yes, and my shoe size went from a 9 as a teenager to an 8 1/2 as an adult. I once spoke to someone in the shoe business, and he confirmed that the sizes were changed so women, whose feet were getting bigger, didn't feel they were too huge.

I personally can't say my clothing size has changed. I've worn the equivalent of a size 3 in Junior's or a size 2 in Misses my entire adult life. Now that jeans seem to be sized by 24, 25, 26 etc....I wear a 26. Which is in line with the Jr and misses sizes. My shoe size has always been a 5 1/2 and still is. My ring finger size is still the same too.
But my BOOBS.....are a totally different discussion. LMBO. I was a 34B in my twenties.....a 34C in my thirtie's...and in my early fortie's...they really blossomed into a full 34D. Geez....now that I'm 54....I sure hope I don't grow anymore!

I have noticed that my boobs have grown too. I weigh just 5 pounds more but I think it is more muscle since I am doing a lot more weights and walking, yoga etc. but my boobs, well they decided to go from a B to a C cup. Now, my C bra even seems to be getting a little tight so it is time to go get measured again. I am glad I am not alone in this.
I remember once when my husband and I were dating, one of his rude friends said I was so small breasted. Well, if he could see me now.

Mops, I used to get made fun of in HS when we were dressing in the locker room for P.E. I was a 34A for years and now I am a 36C. I am small, 5 ft 2in ,and am not overweight. I am post 8 years. I feel like I have a shelf on my chest....maybe I could set nickknacks on it...lol

I read somewhere that the tendancy as one grows older is a weight shift from lower to upper body - there is a greater tendancy towards putting weight on tummy and boobs rather than the thighs and hips.
This is very bad news for me as I am top heavy anyway and have to work hard to keep weight from around my middle and chest, it looks unsightly and is by all accounts is very bad for health.
I was a classic barbie doll shape when I was younger and hated it then, but at least things were 'firm'
