UGH! here we go again! like i had said in my pervious post last week, this sinus thing is back! now, this time, (well, i think i had this last time too.....which was Feb. of 2007), i keep getting, not ONLY sinus on the left side of my head, but when it's not actual sinus pressure, it's more like a stinging feeling in there, and kind of right along the ridge on the side of the head, (left side) it feels ALMOST like "pain", but not really, it's weird. It seems to stay right along that ridge ..... then, my mind goes into hysteria, thinking, brain tumor.....AGAIN! UGH! THIS IS A PAIN IN THE NECK...LITERALLY....which also is true, bec. for about the past week or so,the back of my neck is so tight and achey, where the head meets the neck. I have been sleeping on the couch a lot latley, not for any particular reason, just kind of watching movies all night, can't sleep, that sort of stuff...so, I end up, falling asleep on the couch, which is REALLY SOFT, .... i DO have a support pillow thingy under my neck though, but i notice that i still get this sort of tight, almost "pulling" sensation from the back of my neck, up the left side of my head....which, must be muscular....but, it makes it feel sinusy! i don't know if i'm describing this correctly ..... that's the best i can do.

ok, does anyone here have this? if so, what do you do for it. I am taking my old time favorite,,,,Benadryl ....yippie! but i 'm having to take it like 2 times a day here! then, i take xanax, to realx, which does help. Sometimes this "sinsy" feeling moves down my face, on the left side of my nose, or across the forehead, or even to the right side too. (that's when i get ahold of myself, and remind myself it can't be a brain tumor, or it wouldn't be moving)...LOL...

this really is lousy! I'm thinking allergies. OR maybe musuclar?

I posted to your other sinus thread.........Before I used this netti pot/squeeze bottle my sinuses were so irritated They burned at the bridge of my nose everytime I put my head down. I do have allergies. I don't know if my burning and your stinging are the same feeling, but could be. Did you try the nsal wash pot? I know it doesn't work for some, but for the majority with sinus problems I think it helps better than nasal sprays or drugs. HUGS MIKKI

I have the same thing on the rigth side, I believe I already posted about it.
When I have this strange pains, tight feeling, whatever it is I almost always get the lightheaded or dizzy off balance feeling in the same time. Also my other
symptoms will mostly flare up when I have this. Do you experience the same?

hi guys....thank you for responding! I've had this before, and it drives me nuts! and the stupid thing of it is, i always, every darn time, get caught up in the fear that it's some kind of brain tumor! ..lol...DARN! in my heart, i know it 's not....but you know how that goes. Anyway, yeah, this is still here today, but at least today, when i FIRST WOKE UP, it wasn't there, it only started in with me, once i was up and walking around. The off balance feeling comes and goes, but then again, it's MID cycle for me right now too.

Now, i just had some brownish/blood like stuff on the paper when i urinated! UGH! so here we go, with something else! i think i'll post that.

thank you both! (p.s.- no i havent' tired that neti pot thing, but i'm afraid too...lol... ) no, i seem to have to take two sets of Benadryl during a 24 hr. period though, for the past THREE WEEKS! DARN!

try a neti pot. It really helps. I woke up with my left side sinuses clogged today too. My left eye area feels pressure and I have a headache. Lousy way to wake up. the neti pot should help. I do it after a hot shower. Usually it helps. I have one side that is always more clogged and using this twice a day for a week or so works. Good luck today. Oh and that brownish stuff I used to get it from ovulation until my period until I stared bcp's. It is most annoying.

Okay, answer me this, please. I have had no success with the neti pot. The salt and water solution seemed to irritate my sinuses even more. The first day or two seemed fine but after that I felt like my sinuses were so terribly dry, I'd compare it to "dry socket" a condition one can get after have a tooth removed.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so, and do you think this is just a temporary, uncomfortable side effect that will go away with continued use?

I started with using half the solution, it made it more tolerable. maybe this would help.
