I'm (almost) 37y/o and new here. I felt sooo alone until now. Evil Mother Nature visited me on the 28th of last month and stayed for about 3 days. But about 5 days ago I already started feeling crampy and bloated again and I still feel that way right now. I'm taking Midol more than I'd like to. Up until a couple years ago I never took pms meds or even suffered really. The most pms I got back in the younger days was sore breats and light cramping every other cycle but now... A couple of times in the past year I have had more than one cycle in a month. Oh, and I have severe RA and some of the osteos too so I'm on Yazmin so as not to get pregnant. Shouldn't Yazmin relieve some of these symptoms or am I starting perimenopause? Good to see I don't need to do the symptom checker at WebMD anymore to see what diseases I think I might have. I thought I was going to lose my mind until now...well, my memory (or lack there of) is up for debate. Thanks.

It is is certainly possible you are going through peri BUT:
How long have you been on Yazmin and did these symptoms start before or after starting Yazmin? Here are some of the effects of Yazmin (from the drug manufacturer).
sudden numbness or weakness, confusion, pain behind the eyes, problems with vision, speech, or balance;
chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling;
a change in the pattern or severity of migraine headaches;
stomach pain, loss of appetite, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);
a breast lump; or
symptoms of depression (sleep problems, weakness, mood changes).
breast pain, tenderness, or swelling;
freckles or darkening of facial skin, increased hair growth, or loss of scalp hair;
changes in weight or appetite, swelling of your hands or feet;
problems with contact lenses;
vaginal itching or discharge; or
changes in your menstrual periods
Searching further, I found many, many women who described even further debilitating problems being on this bc pill.
Hope this helps.
