Hi there!

I take the night sweats and day sweat as they come - and don't sweat it ;-) and just try to drink TONS to make up for the lost fluids and I look marvelous - but I find that my hands are sweating like CRAZY too and that's really a pain when you're trying to play the saxophone.

Does anyone have any good tips on how to deal with sweaty sticky hands (besides wearing vinyl gloves which is probaby what I will do)?

i wish i did have a tip for you, anything to keep you playing the sax, which has to be one of my favourite instruments.. played with a jazz feel to it especially! i once followed the sound of a sax around the streets of Sydney, till i found the busker playing it - he was so very good!! i sat and listened for ages, and dropped a large note in his case for the pleasure afterwards.. hopefully it is a symptom that will settle soon!

I've had sweaty hands my whole life and the only thing that's ever worked for me is to have a fan blowing air on my hands. Is there some way you could have a fan set up to cool your hands while you are playing? I used to play the violin but I gave it up - not because of sweaty hands but because I'm a tone deaf noise polluter!

My friends huband has had this problem for years, as well as his sister. They use an electic thing that send current to their hands. He rests his hands on it for about 10 minutes a week. It also works for his feet. Sorry, I cannot recal the name of the thing.
