Hello all
I need a little advice, I went through a very painful start in perimenopause with the Dr over dosing me on estrogen, went from the vaginal ring to three types of estrogens before she settled on prempro. I have gone up on the prempro dosage from .325mg to .625mg the Dr did not want me to try to allow me to transition from hormones to bioidenticals, but i'm doing it anyway, so anyone out their with any advice it would be so welcome, please let me know your story, thanks jeannie

The only advice I can give you is that it's not simple nor is it easy. When I first started this journey, I thought it was as simple as putting on a little cream, feeling better and going on about my life. It has been anything but! The ups and downs, the tweaking the doses, the never feeling optimal... it has been a fight and now I'm ready to concede the battle and try supplements. I'm sorry. I don't have anything positive to say. I know there are many on this board that do well with either BHRT or HRT but I think some of us just have an intolerance to estrogen and it sounds like you may have the same problems.
I may be wrong and I think you should try them before giving up, I just caution you that it will take patience to find the right balance and even then, it may not be the 'normal' feeling you are hoping for.
Best of luck,
