When will the insta chat be back? I am so used to starting my day that way that I feel crabby when I don't get my meno sista motivation!!! Any idea when it will be back?

You can go to the Live Chat - just go to the menu on the righthand side of the top of the page and click on Live Chat . Some of the girls chat in there. I don't have access to that during the day but I've been in there in the middle of the night and there are people chatting. I miss the Insta Chat too.

I don't know-I couldn't access it.

Insta-chat is NOT on the Power Surge Web site's server. If it were. during the times it has gone down the whole Power Surge site would go down as well. It is based on what are called tag boards or shout boxes and was adjusted appearance-wise on Power Surge's message board to look more like a small chat room. Power Surge has purchased approximately four different tag boards and they all have the same problem.

When insta-chat does go down, there is nothing Power Surge can do about it as we don't have access to the server that it's on. Unfortunately, it has gone down more frequently in the past few months than ever before.

If you have trouble using the chat room, check to see that you have java runtime environment on your computer, or just go to http://www.java.com and download a free copy. Once installed, you should have no problems using the chat room.

The majority of message boards don't give you the option of having both an insta-chat AND a chat room.

I understand why Dearest had to close the insta-chat (hackers) and I must confess, I was somewhat put out that after all these years, I would FINALLY have to use the main chat room if I wanted to continue to chat. I selfishly admit that it never occurred to me ALL the hours you put in the insta-chat monitoring, editing, helping newbie's find their way, providing links to all that asked, and dealing with unwelcomed attackers!!

So.... with a leery eye I made my way to the Main Chat Room. OH MY GOSH!!! I had no idea what a great place it was!! It has sounds, fonts, emocions, you can even send a private instant message!!! The colors, the avatars... WHAT A GREAT PLACE!! It only took a couple times of exploring around, and I have it figured out (and I'm really computer stupid!!)

So come one, come all.... and thank you Dearest, for once again giving us a soft place to fall!

Insta chat has been offline a couple of months now. You have to use the live chat at the top of each page. I actually like the format better myself.
