Does this yucky stuff continue for years after our periods have quit?

My mom breezed thru meno. She was single and dating much younger men at the time.............having a ball........................

i've been married for 29 years to the same man. Maybe thats the key...................date younger guys LOL just kidding......

Hmmmm, interesting question. No pat answer either. For me, the 6 months without a period is when I crashed, and crashed hard! Others feel better at that point. Who knows!! I am now 15 months without, taking hormones and still having hot flashes!! Who the heck knows. Dating younger men, eh?? Right now I could care less about men!! Younger or older!

Whether you're really done or not may depend on how old you are. I'm 55 (almost 56) and had my last period in September of 07. My gyno said that at 45 or even 50, I might still have a period, but at my age, I'm probably done. I had been going through about 3 years of skipped, erratic periods before they stopped.

Haven't had any spotting or bleeind, just a couple phantom periods where you feel like you ovulated, and then you have all the signs like you're going to get your period, but you never do. Andt hen the 'going to have a period' symptoms eventually fade away.

But, everyone is very different. It's hard to tell.

I beleive everyone is different. I went many times without a period. I went for 6 months 8 months even a year and they came back. My last period was February 06 so I think I am done, I pray I am done. But the symptoms are still here.. I think they are not as bad though. I am still drinking my Revival and taking my bio-identical prgesterone. The weight I gained it still here and I am so tired. Although that could be because we have a 12 year old now.
