I dont seem to have the night sweats but more during the day. Do you think its possibly the same thing but I am having them during the day? For the first couple of hours of getting up, the sweat is just running off me, can be very uncomfortable at times. Does anyone else have this??
Suzie
I have this too. I also have it at night. During the day I'm fine. It's just night time and early morning. I guess it's just night sweats and hot flashes. My morning sweats just started since my last period which consisted of only spotting.

I am diagnosed Bipolarll/mania. Diagnosed at 42rs old Hard to believe I lived my life mentally ill, I still don't believe it.  To get to the point, one of my meds is Colonpene...sleep narcotic.  My night sweats are so drastic I wake up...sitting straight up, even thru the meds.  I usually have to change my nightclothes and it definitely bothers Bruce..my throwing off the covers and stripping as fast as I can:)  The day sweats have just started...3 mo ago.. whew!! I cannot move, literally!!  They freeze me and my thoughts are completely confused and at times I do not know where I am or what I was doing!!  Pretty scary stuff...went for yearly pap and sweet Doc suggested any Soy products...as i see thru this site that I can trust him.  "Soybeans?"  I eat them right from the can.  I have only begun to research this new item in my life.    The worst fear I have is having a "Flash" while driving.   I pray I will be "withit" when it ever, hope not, happens.     Day sweats are even worse than the night sweats. It is very embarrassing in public places...I usually excuse myself, if I can move...and stumble to the closest ladies room to hang on to the sink until its over.    My hot flashes are beginning to last almost 3-4 minutes. Longggggg 3-4 min.    I also tried an experiment.  I took my temperature during a hot flash and it registered 89 degrees!   Still a puzzle to me..cuz I was burning up!  I am a "newbie" at day sweats!    michele

I have them also. I wake up at least 3 times during the night and my pjs are wet and my legs are wet. It's very tough to get up for work at 4:30am when I'm wet and the temp outside is freezing (I live in Minnesota). During the day, it's not so bad. I work in a small restaurant, so when I feel a flash coming on, I just run to the freezer!!
Tia Lin
yes Ladies...I have them at any time. If they get my office too warm it sets it off with hot flashes and nausea...ugh!! Now I am considering moving back to the Arizona desert and I wonder if this will just be a hot flash hell. Anyone out there in the Southwest desert have an opnion on this one?

How funny, I was just looking for a thread to see if anyone had day sweats before?

I just had that yesterday in early evening. The hot flashes came on, then within the hour I was all sweaty for absolutely no reason. My pant legs were soaked and my back was even dripping.

This was that wierd period that came EARLY on 22nd day of cycle. I had no symptoms for ovulation which is rare for me. I usually have the ovulation pain, plus for many years have heart palps w/it, and then get the palps before period is gonna start. I didn't even get the regular pre-period symptoms, except had a quick light cramping day before & had to look at my calendar. Thought it was too early so ignored it, and then WHAM - early period.

Wondering if I missed ovulation? This early period only happened one other time - once last year when I had a surprise period at 20 days. I just looked at my calendar w/periods marked, and it shows w/some exceptions, that many of my periods are getting a little shorter on cycle. I guess I should start a thread on early periods. wink.gif I just read this was another sign of approaching menopause. Yeah!! To not have periods - that will be awesome! smile.gif

Hi weathergirl,

It sounds like you're in peri, as are most of the women here. I remember having ovulation pain like you describe, and it became less and less frequent when I was in my forties. My periods also became shorter and lighter like you have said. They became irregular, too. I could go three months without one and then have one that was normal and then two weeks later another one. It was all over the map! I could never travel without bringing supplies and I had supplies in my desk at work because I never knew when I'd get a period.

I wish I could ask all of the women who posted here a couple of years ago how their flashes are now. Have they improved, I wonder.

I used to get heart palps, too, and I'd have them all the time. I thought I needed to lose weight, so I struggled to drop 25 pounds but I still had the palps. They go away now for a while but I'll get them back for a few days and I just ignore them. Then they go away again and come back and so forth.

I think morning and night times are very common for hot flashes. This is when I'd get them, too. After I got up and showered in the morning, I'd start flashing! Sometimes with really bad nausea and getting dizzy so I had to sit down for a few minutes. I still get them at night, too. I think they are also worse in hot weather.

I wonder how Tia Lin's flashes are these days and if she found they were worse in Arizona.

Weathergirl,

I get day sweats nearly every morning! Like clockwork between 9-10:30 or so! I suddenly get really warm, then my heart starts pounding, then I sweat like I've just run 10 miles. Runs down my back, my sides, if I'm barelegged the backs of my knees sweat, the insides of my elbows...you get the idea. Takes sometimes an hour to recover. I've taken to scheduling stressful appts for the p.m. time anymore. I don't get night sweats, just sleep really warm without covers a lot of times. I'm still ovulating and having a period every month, but it seems to be getting lighter and I spotted for about a week last month after I thought I was done.

Re Arizona and hot flashes: I live in Az, in the north part of the state (cold, high elevation and dry) but when I go south to Phoenix, the intense heat doesn't bring them on...because it's breezy and windy in Az a lot, and no humidity...it's the humidity and warm/hot still air that dials in hot flashes, for me.

I feel for the ladies who live in the southern states...

Thanks for your replies. biggrin.gif

CSugarGrove, Wow to think my periods will SOMEDAY be gone for 3 mths. at a time - HEAVEN! Thanks for posting that - encouraging. Would be hard knowing when to be ready for the next one tho - haha. tongue.gif But to skip even ONE for now, will be HEAVEN for me. I can't wait for that part, the skipping periods. I don't know what year that will start, but I'll be looking forward to it. It's already been great barely having periods - lengthwise I mean. I can spot for many days after main period is done, but I don't count it cuz it's just tissue-spotting, not on pad. Do you get that?

Hey you also mentioned something else I go thru(the shower thing), and yesterday was very bad episode of it. Very faint & nauseous- close to throwing up. Laid down on my bed with legs on top of a couple pillows and made sure no pillows under my head. I had to stay that way for a long time, and it helped a lot. Plus my little cuddly puppy was a Godsend and laid right on my chest - all cuddled up next to my face for like an hour. Talk about melting my heart! And just what I needed. smile.gif

rivcelt,

Hi! smile.gif Wow, you're getting a lot of day sweats! I get the hotflashes at ANYTIME, but the sweats mainly at night just whenever. Both hotflashes &/or nightsweats do seem to happen most around ovulation time and up thru period starting - on & off. Not every period, but especially before the ones that are the shortest & lightest cycles compared to what I used to get. (Regardless if I get the 'flooding' period times or not.)

You said you're still ovulating. Are you getting any of these surprise EARLY cycles? That's when I'm wondering if I skipped ovulation or not? I had NO symptoms of ovulation coming, and not the regular pre-period symptoms for that EARLY cycle either. That's what makes me think it was a non-ovulation time.

And yeah, I feel for ladies in the hot, humid type southern states as well. wink.gif

weathergirl,

What kind of sweet puppy do you have? There are many dog people here, me for sure. It's amazing how animals can understand it when we don't feel good, and they offer us comfort. I have a cat I love who gets all upset when I'm upset.

Anyway, if you are going through it all like I did, it was not very long after irregular periods that I didn't have one at all for a long time (months). Are you taking any kind of HRT? I started taking Activella because the hot flashes got so bad I couldn't think straight. I felt much better right away, but the Activella caused me to have a period after ten months! I was really upset. I was so close to the one year! So I tapered off the Activella and started using the Revival Soy and that has been as good as HRT for me. Then I got to the one year mark without a period, and I started feeling better overall.

I think in peri ovulation really stops for the most part, and because our estrogen levels drop, we have meno symptoms, especially hot flashes and the night sweats.

rivcet, that dry heat is comfortable. Much better than the humidity we get in the midwest. I was in Death Valley many years ago, driving. I had never been through there before and expected to see a bunch of skulls along the dirt road, but it was a modern paved highway and no skulls (like in the movies). It was 100 degrees, but I didn't feel hot at all. It was great!

Hey weathergirl,

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to these. I've tried tracking my daily sweats to see if they are worse just before my period when your estrogen is supposed to be low, etc. but I can't find a pattern. My heart pounds and I get anxiety and then I sweat. Always in the a.m., hardly ever in the p.m., never at night (unless I drink, so I avoid that). I'm still regular as everything, but spot about 2 days before. I don't even know if these sweats are hot flashes--sometimes I'll just be sitting there and I'll start sweating without feeling hot or even anxious; sometimes I'll feel hot and then start sweating, etc etc ad nauseaum.

I'm going to talk (again to my gp) about this and request a consulatation with an endocrinologist who specializes in thyroid disorder (I'm hypo), adrenal disorder as well as female hormone issues. I'm beginning to wonder, since I'm regular as clockwork, what the h*ll is going on and if these attacks are even hormone related.

Comments to earlier posts:

--Ok, you wondered what type of doggies my little family here has. We have "grandma" - our almost 13 yr. old small Cocker Spaniel & also have a young mini-Doxie. Our newest fun, family additions are our 2 puppy Bichon Frises! biggrin.gif They are just so precious!! I did lots of research on them, and we even did family quizzes to see what dog is best for us & they always came out #1. They fit perfect in our animal-loving family! smile.gif

--And yes, important to get your other types of hormones checked out 1st. My gyn believes my Hypothyroid may be what's causing this early Perimenopause that started around 31-32 area. Totally fine with me!! He said that quite a few Hypothyroid people go thru early perimeno. And that's what I've noticed, too. I'll look at that as the silver lining of it. haha. wink.gif

--Talking about keeping track. I don't keep track all that much, except for my period dates of course. But I did mark down some big hot flash, night sweat dates and found a couple sets of those started up about 1 week before my period started.
weathergirl
Ooops, meant to add something else. You know how my last cycle started at the surprise 22 day. Well, check it out. This cycle was another EARLY one at day 25. That just doesn't happen with me you guys! I'm taking this as another silving lining symptom that things are progressing more towards menopause, as several paps have shown, too.

In previous years, usually if a period came maybe early at day 26 (very rare) or 27, then the next period would come later, maybe day 29. Something like that. But noticed this past year that I've had several 26 days, which is something VERY NEW now. It's easier when you look over it over the years, to see the big changes that way. Then, to have one SURPRISE EARLY cycle last year at day 20 which never happens, then to this year be getting shorter cycles on & off and now for 1st time ever, had 2 shorter cycles back to back.

Wierd thing is that now for TWO cycles in a row, had NO normal pre-symptoms at all, and NO ovulation type pain either. Wierd. So, I have no clue it's coming til the cramps start in that instant. I usually get those pre-warnings in the days ahead. Could this mean I'm not ovulating for the last 2 mths?? I am taking this as encouragement, since I've been noticing that shortening cycles tend to be a SIGN of the future menopause some year ahead. I just can't wait for that 1st MISSED PERIOD. That will be heaven, cuz then it will have made all these years of building symptoms all worthwhile. smile.gif

Last year I had , what do they call them...flop sweats. Where you are fine then suddenly the water is running off your body. These were almost exclusively at night (though I work in a kitchen and sweat all day, so who can tell?)
I never was able to put it down to a certain "time of the month", mostly because I stopped having periods entirely for nine months. But they were almost daily, so no cyclical relation there.
Then suddenly I got my period, mad.gif same as normal, five days, one spotting then gone... for four months. And the sweats went away.
Now I haven't had a period since Christmas. The sweats are back, with chills following, waking me up every two hours. Not as drippy as before, but certainly as hot sad.gif
But I DO know that now I have these flashes in the day as well. I can be in the hot kitchen and feel myself get hotter. When my concentration is focused on the job, I just kinda note the heat in the back of my brain, it hasn't really affected my performance. If it comes along when we are not busy, I DO have to take a step back and shake my head. I will often use these moments to check the freezer to see if we need to order anything! wink.gif
And I have a cat, Emma. Honey calls her a brooch, or lapel pin cause she parks herself on my chest. I love her dearly, and fortunately she is light enough to toss, but heavy enough so I can't manage to fling her off the end of the bed when she gets to be too much of a fur coat! Then she'll curl up about 6 inches from my feet until I start shivering, then be welcomed back! We understand each other!

Hi
Well, from what I read, nobody has the day sweats like I do. I sweat coming out of the shower, all through dressing, drying hair and in the car on the way to work. I sweat at work (I teach preschool) and keep moving. It's so embarrassing to be wiping my face all the time. Especially when I'm talking to a parent. I do just a little house work and I'm dripping. I cook and I drip, I concentrate and I drip. I go to the gym and noone is dripping like me! My hair is wet almost constantly in the summer. It seems only to be my head and neck. Then my hair always smells bad. I was going to reply to that forum but lost it. I wash my hair everyday but it never smells good. My kids use same shampoo and smells great but I smell my sweaty hair!

There may be a reason for it....I'm on anti depressant which I'll probably stay forever. One of the side effects is sweating. I wish it was the menopause because then it might have an ending. I've had now for 4 years, summer is worst, humidity does me in and it's so embarrassing to be outside. I hate to do housework or exercise because I feel like I've done way more than I have. I HATE IT AND I'M SO EMBARRASSED
RedFox
Mimicassy, the sweating you're doing sounds really miserable. I can tell from your post that it's affecting your life pretty badly. You said that it's a side effect from the anti-depressant you're on. There are so many meds out there now, is there a chance that a different one that doesn't have this side effect would work for you? I don't have much experience with them, other than taking Paxil many years ago, though I hear there are many more on the market now.
oncourse
Mimi-I have the day sweats, it seems the past few years to be much worse during the summer months. I think heat triggers it. I get sticky arms and legs, the back of my neck is wet and my head feels wet too but my face never gets red, only slight beads of sweat. When I dry my hair I have to stand in front of a fan afterward since the dryer heat sets another hot flash off. It's gross but I don't actually drip, thank heavens. I use talcum powder and that helps a lot in keeping me dry. I'm not on any medication, this is just from peri in my case. In spite of this I have only had one night sweat where I actually got up and changed my nightgown. Usually the day is my worst time, seems like I get a flash probably 20x a day or more. On the bright side, no one seems to know when I'm "flashing". biggrin.gif
arla
Oncourse, you could have written my story. I also get 20+ hot flashes a day and I have spent this entire summer in air conditioning or in front of a fan, especially after using my hair dryer. I also never get a red face (which is fine with me) but most of my friends do. This sweating is one symptom that I could have done without. I thought weight gain was the worse until I experienced these constant hot flashes. I am so looking forward to fall and cooler temperatures for the first time in my life.
RedFox
Oncourse and Arla,

I'm with you girls too. I'm getting 20+ hot flashes a day. My face get a little flushed looking, but not red, thank goodness. It's very uncomfortable, and I've been pretty miserable during this hot summer. Fans are my friends, even in the A/C cooled rooms. I get hot and sweaty from head to toe -- every square inch of my skin feels hot to the touch. Arla, I'm looking forward to Fall too... but then, September has ALWAYS been my favorite month... it's soooo beautiful, all those lovely earthy colors. smile.gif

RedFox
arla
Oh I know RedFox, the heat that comes off of you during these hot flashes is amazing. When I was driving yesterday I thought I had accidentally turned on the seat warmer because my back felt so hot. It was just the heat coming from my body. I told my husband I want to keep one of the plastic lawn chairs on the deck this year because somehow I can see myself sitting among the snowflakes and enjoying it.
squeakyknees
HI girls Don't know if I'm doing this right but here goes:
I came here looking for info because I'm wringing wet ALL the time from constant hot flashes/sweats, mostly daytime but I do wake up a half a dozen times a night too. I just had a knee replacement so I wondered if may be the meds were making it worse but all I'm taking is an antibiotic and painkillers and when I looked up the side effects of them it wasn't showing any of this stuff.
From the age of 32 to 38 I had no periods, had mild menopausal symptoms but nothing serious. At 38 1/2 I restarted my periods and they became increasingly worse until I was totally incapacitated the last couple years I had them. Now I have had only 1 a year for about 3 years and it was worse than childbirth with the cramps and the "runs" and sick stomach, etc. Since then I'm having flashes so severe I don't even bother leaving the house most of the time. People stare because I'm soaked and sweat's running down my face in rivers. They keep asking if I'm ok. sad.gif I get nervous about touching anything if I'm in a fabric store or shopping because my hands are always so wet.
As far as trying to find relief, HRTs are OUT. Almost all my female relatives have breast ancer and/or ovarian cancer. I've been drinking soy milk for a few years and eating soymeats too. I put ground flax on my cereal. Nothing seems to make any difference. I also took Vit E for a couple years steady. I've read a lot of claims about soy but I've also read medical articles saying they make no difference. In my case it hasn't helped.
SO if anyone needs their t-shirts wet for a contest---I've got a big supply!

Girls: All of a sudden, my hot flashes and sweats have increased 100%. It went from a mildly annoying problem, to ruining my entire work week. Anyone else had it get worse all of sudden? Does this mean I'm in meno as opposed to peri?

I can't sleep because I get several dozen hot flashes and drenching night sweats per night. AND during the day! Last evening, DH and I went out to dinner with friends, and it was damned embarassing....I literally starting perspiring buckets right at the table...I've never been one to perspire on my face, and it was running down my cheeks---the people we were with thought I must be sick... i needed to fan myself with a piece of paper or I would have passed out.

I have an irrational quesiton to ask: can you die from menopause? 'Cause it feels like it...it feels like I'm terribly ill...

I've gone without a period now for over 3 months and the symptoms just keep getting worse and worse...help!
lidge26
RoundRobin-

Oh how I hear you. Even though sweating isn't my worst problem, I often awaken with a hot sick dizzy awful feeling where I feel like I'm dying. Your question is one of the least irrational I've seen yet on the board. Whether you can die of it or not, isn't it just as bad to feel like you are dying? Its horrendous. That loss of well being is devastating. It has brought me to the edge of despair.

I'm not sure whether you take hormones. Supposedly that helps with hot flashes. I have tried just about everything to feel better, but haven't found the answer.

Yes, Robin, I too feel like I"m dying. It has taken a toll on my mind and body. This is worse than anything I have ever experienced in my life.

When you ask can you die of it - Well, I can tell you it can push you into a depression and depression can certainly kill you. So my answer to your question is yes, it can kill you. But maybe not in the way you are thinking.

I pray we all find relief.
arla
Hi Robin, I can relate. I thought the hot flashes were nothing too until I skipped a few periods in a row. I now haven't had a period since March and I am sweating buckets. This just came on suddenly this summer and is happening at least 20 times a day. I have never perspired like this, especially when I was just sitting still. It just comes over me and like you said, the sweat just runs down my face and my back. I cringe when someone wants to hug me as it is just disgusting. I truly hate this part of it, it's annoying and uncomfortable. I think it must be in the very late stages of peir moving into meno as most of the women I have asked this question to became post meno soon after their periods became this infrequent and the major hot flashes began. I can understand why so many women think they may die of peri, there are so many symptoms and some are very frightening and there are very few doctors out there who are knowledgeable enough to put our fears to rest. Why is that? I have never heard of anyone dying from menopause but I do agree there are times it sure feels like it.
RoundRobin
lidge, arla: Thank you so much--I felt better reading your posts. Today was a bad day. The flashes were so bad it felt like I was having one all day long. Even my skin felt hot to the touch. And the palps started too. DH and I took his elderly dad out to lunch and I had to leave several times and go into the ladies room to splash cold water on my face. I felt like I was going crazy. The men knew what was happening to me and they kept giggling about it...I wanted to stab them both with my steak knife. I'm at home now, on a Saturday night, it's 6 pm and I'm already in my pajamas and crying.

I hate this.
lidge26
Robin-

If its any comfort, I'm crying too. And if I were with you, I would help you sharpen the knife. I hate this too.
arla
Robin and Lidge, I feel so bad for both of you because I know exactly what you mean. I just never thought menopause could be so bad. Like I said, I am constantly hot and yes Robin I have that too where your skin feels hot to touch. I thought I was imagining this but my husband has told me I actually heat the bed up. I was also in my pj's early tonight because it's the only thing I feel comfy in right now, how sad is that? And the crying? I break down into tears if someone just looks at me the wrong way lately. This happened about 6 months ago too but it has now returned and I hate it. I was never like this before. I keep telling everyone I just want to feel like myself again but I have a feeling that's not going to happen anytime soon.
choco
I'm glad I read this section. I was just looking through the message boards cause I mainly go to tremors, anxiety and palps.

I wondered if my sweating morning and evening was linked with hot flushes. Like some of the ladies I have a shower in the am and will be sweating and feel hot for ages after. I remember doing this about 4years ago it went on for a couple of months then stopped. Now it's back and a lot more fierce. I'm not sure when the pm sweats start whether it in the afternoon or more towards evening, I'll have to start taking note of when it happens. Well now I know it's part of peri!!

Why is it we have so many symptoms at once and then some women have hardley anything sad.gif

So far I have tremors, palps, dizzyness, hot flushes (red face and sweating, but different times) Anxiety, eyes do stupid things! Pain all over, dry vag, no interest in sex! That's to name a few! The only trouble is the family either laugh at what is happening or lose patience with me as they think this has gone on long enough, how do they think I feel mad.gif Hopefully it wont be for tooooo much longer....I like the lessening periods though biggrin.gif Ciao Cheryl

choco: For me, the flashes and sweats go hand in hand. I've tried anti-depressants, three months of Revival, Estroven, exercise, and none of it has done anything to alleviate the symptoms. I've actually been having the flashes/sweats for a year now, but I started posting on this thread because in the past 2 week, it has taken on new, horrific proportions.

I'm calling my gyn's nurse practioner in the morning...I may try progesterone again. I hate to go the hormone route--and I'm firmly against taking estrogen, but something has got to give here. I literally cannot work because of these drenching sweats and the way they make me feel.

You know what I just thought of? There should be a group...called "Menopause Anonymous" ('MA', for short...I like that...my daughter calls me that)...'cause I would go. This board is my life-life. If I didn;t have somewhere to go and talk about this, I would probably end up in a mental hospital. Actually, I may end up in one anyways...these days my mental state is very fragile. I'm acting like a crazy woman.

For those who still need some relief, I tried the "chillow" this summer and it really seemed to help nip a hot flash in the bud before it could continue on. I think it kept me from overheating and I had a better night's sleep because of it.

Oh my gosh they are absolutely awful. I can just be standing in the bathroom putting on my make up and they sweat pours off my face. My OB just put me on yaz birthcontrol to try to help them, they want to do actual HRT as a last resort because I have Lupus. I sure hope this helps, I have never had this issue before, I have always been cold and it drives me nuts!!!!! unsure.gif

If you can wait them out, they may stop on their own eventually. Mine come and go. Sometimes I go months without any and then they come back. Usually the summer triggers them I think. I posted this elsewhere but I have to use a fan on me when I dry my hair! The heat from the dryer sets them in motion.

I think you're right about the sweating and the flushing being linked.

I have flushing that starts in the morning and lasts for days on end. My dr had me on antidepressants which helped, but the side effects were unbearable.

I took zyban to quit smoking. Zyban is also an antidepressent. It had an odd effect:

For the first time, the flushing sensation 'split': When I arose, there would be an odd skin sensation. Not crawling, not like shocks, but v noticible. Later, sometime between lunch and dinner, the flushing and the heat would kick in. The skin thing was easily bearable, the flushing and sweating are not.

The only thing that makes them abate is a cool shower.

I since started on HRT, and have been given estradot, 100 (the strongest patch) and prometrium, micronized progesterone to counter act any negative effects from the estrodiol. It helps, but not enough. I'm on day two of all day flushing.

This bites. Im scared of what I will face if I go off of zyban. The zyban is reining in the symptoms, and the symptoms are too strong and yet, I'm on pretty strong meds.

Hi everyone! Please bare with me. I am really very, very new to this site. I think I already made one mistake by putting my user name on Mimicassy's message. I'm not even sure how I did that, hopefully you will forgive me for it. As for nobody having the sweats like you do, honey, welcome to the club. I didn't think anyone had them like I did, but sounds like you do. I get up in the morning, drenched, after being up several times during the night, sweating, throwing cover off. I sleep in my birthday suit under nothing but a sheet and I still wake up drenched. All during the day, it just rolls off of me. I feel like I've run a marathon race or something. And it certainly does zap my energy level. I'm 46, almost 47 and have probably been in perimenopause for the last 7 yrs. For the first of those 7 yrs. I had what the docs called fibrocystic breast pain-my breasts would literally hurt for 20 days out of the month, the other 5 or 6, I would be on my period. I can actually say I looked forward to having my period, at least I didn't have to walk around with what felt like a miagrane headache in my chest. As with everyone else, my periods have finally become very irregular. I haven't had one in almost 6 months now. I've not noticed any breast pain since right before my last period. But man, the sweats(I don't even call them hot flashes cause I just break out into a total body sweat from head to toe) are really miserable. I've tried soy supplement-that worked for a little while-not anymore. I started taking Estroven. No help whatsoever! I don't really want to do the HRT thing, but I don't know what else to do. I just know I got to do something! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well I had to come looking for this thread for this lovely thing is my newest symptom! I'm thrilled. Day sweats. Seem to be in the morning. The first symptom of perimen that I recognized as that were night sweats at 40. But they mostly went away except that some months I'll have a little (I'm 45 now). The I got cold flashes -2-3 days before my periods. So bad that I would cry because there is no way to get warm. So this month I get my period on day 19 after what now seems to have been a very bad PMS time mentally although energy-wise I was the energizer bunny. The morning after my period starts I start to feel that kind of weird, clammy perspiring that you do when you're going to throw up - with no nausea. ALL morning. Sheesh. Anyway, I'm just coming here to complain. Some other symptoms are either getting a little better (some of the mental ones) or I'm just getting used to this stranger that I am. But when you get used to one or two on come the next batch to deal with!
