I am going on day 6.
I pray tomorrow morning it will be gone. Never been through this before either.
I'm throwing in the towel this month. Peri is the winner.

You don't say, what sort of headache you are having?
If its the can't function at all type, please get yourself checked out.

Yes, what kind are you having. Perhaps you should get it checked out. I've had a daily tehsion type headache for over 2 years now and the MRI and CAT scan showed nothing. What have you tried taking? I hear Excedrin for Headaches was a good option for some people. Have you checked your blood pressure? There are a number of reasons you could be going through this.
Hugs,
Karen

2005 was my year of the headache, I would suffer weeks at a time. Since I wasn't a headache person I became concern. Had the mri's etc, nothing was found and either did medication help.
Except when it got so bad I went to the ER for demerol shots.
One thing that helped was meditation.

Maybe the lymph drainage massage you had done has had a major detox impact on your body and this is the result while it's cleaning out. Seems both of us tried a new therapy and we have both regressed.......Just a thought...... Have you any tension in your upper body primarily the trapezius muscles on top of your shoulders?? Remember to drink heaps of water to flush out the lingering toxins. Maybe we have all had a major hormone shift this month, who knows anymore, I surely don't......

I rarely got headaches before but this year also had one that lasted for a week. I've never had that happen before.
I remember walking up to the drugstore on a Saturday morning, feeling pale as a sheet, not wanting to talk to anyone on the way.
It started on a Monday so I thought it was from using the computer for work, but Saturday morning I still had it.
I just bought a bottle of rapid-release Tylenol and take them now.
That's the only week-long one I've had so maybe it will be the same for you.
I do get a lot of short ones now, though.

It isn't anywhere specific. It seems to wander throught my head but seated mostly at the base. I know I have a TONN of stress in my muscles right now. Every trigger point hurts with the slightest pressure. I don't think it is the lymph drainage, she said if I felt bad it would show very quickly. I am scheduled for another MLD on Wednesday and another neck/back deep tissue massage on Thursday.
I think it is a nasty combination of everything.
I don't take meds at all. Tonight I just may pop a Panadol before bed (which is in the next 10 minutes). Then again, meds would be a hell of alot cheaper route!!! ;-)
Spending most of my waking time in bed. Maybe my body is just trying to shut me down for a much needed rest.
Thank you for your rapid tips and input <3

(((Girlsmom))) Hope it goes away soon!
Headaches are at the top of my list for being my worse peri symptom!
I still panic when I get any type of headache to this day!
Karen > rapid-release tylenol also helps my headaches!

Just out of curiosity, have you been checked for TMJ? I used to get daily headaches until I got a new mouthguard. I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I saw my dentist and described my headache. The next week I got fitted for a new mouthguard and have not had one of these types of headaches since.

I am taking the right steps...
I called the Dr. this a.m. and he said tat there is a virus going around (sorry to say but that always makes me ummm Happy?). I'll be seeing him in a couple of hours.
I cancelled my MLD massage tomorrow and will reschedule when my body is back in order AND even made my eye appointment for Friday at 2:00.
I may have some whacky acupunture ahead of me today.... he is not the most sensative when it comes to sticking the needles in but last tme I did get a great result a couple days after.
Headache is still here. Hopefully soon to be gone!!!!!!
Have a great day everyone <3

Let's us know how you make out with the dr. and acupuncture. You don't sound happy with the acupuncturist...I'd consider finding someone who is much more gentle....the needles aren't supposed to hurt.

Hi Ladies....
Headache virtually gone!
Had a large iron infusion, double what I have had in the past. I never thought that it could of been from that.
His theory is that I started way to fast and heavy on my fitness routine, coupled with a very low ferriten anyway and then heavy period this month to boot.
About 2 hours after the drip, I felt my muscles ease and headache subside. He drew blood and the results will be back Friday.
He says he sees his Girlsfriend (45 like me) go through the ups and down from peri and suggested I continue (stopped for 2 months) the Black Cohosh.
I will go for 2 more infusions and perhaps b-12 injections to support it.
I have a feeling he saved me this time around.
I know my ferriten is low but it probebly dropped to a level that I have never experienced before. I forgot how it makes my muscles ache....
Girls, don't just settle for a Hemoglobin level.....CHECK YOUR FERRITEN!!!!!!!
You are all the best!
Thanks for all your support!!!!
