I went to the bathroom yesterday morning and saw (instead of the ususal dark blood a day before) perfectly red blood and thought "Wow, a normal period"!!! By the time I stood up my period had stopped. 24 hours later there is still nothing.
Is this (was that) a period or a miss?

Wouldn't it be nice if that was all a period was. I have gone from 3 day fairly non existant periods most of my life to 7 day long slightly heavier but only slightly and lots of spotting that goes on and on and on.
Well I suppose I had been spoiled for all those years .

Could you be pregnant? The same thing happened to me when I was pregnant with my first. I had red blood which came at the time my period would normally start, then it stopped abruptly. I think it was either implantation bleeding or my body deciding if it wanted to be pregnant or not. In either case, I must have had a hormonal fluctuation and a week later I took a pregnancy test and it was positive.

Without a doubt NOT preg.!!!
I started a bit of clotting today so I guess I just had a longer pause than usual between periods...oh well. The bright side is that maybe if this happens for the next 2 months with 29 day periods, I won't have it during the Beach part of our summer vacation!!!!! :-))))))
