I have not a single complaint at the moment....since I started back in a daily training 6 weeks ago as well as Lymph Drainage, my 1.5 year long 25 day period has changed. I am at day 27 today and feel GREAT! No pms, not tired even after a very, very long weekend of having to get up early for 1st communions, sports event etc.
If this is normal I'll take it smile.gif
This is an absolute 1st for me. Anyone else have a period come later than usual or skip one and managed to avoid all those symptoms that normaly get us down???!?!!!

Hi girlsmom,
I am delighted that you are feeling so good. We gals need a few more posts like this.
I think that it shows that we can only feel as good as our menopausal state at the time allows us to feel. When these windows of 'feeling good' appear we should embrace them with gusto!
I suspect that these feel good times appear spasmodically at first. Understandably, we react very badly when it goes down hill again but I think that we need to have faith that these little episodes will become more frequent and then join together eventually to give us our lives back.
I went to a wedding at the week-end. I felt pretty dire on Saturday and couldn't take advantage of the superb facilities in the hotel which made me feel very sad. sad.gif As the evening wore on I started to feel better. I have always had a great passion for dance but can't remember the last time I felt well enough to even think about dancing. Suddenly, one of my all time favourite songs came on and I felt the urge to take to the dance floor. I was tentative at first but wow did it feel goooood! I danced non stop for an hour. It was like the old me had suddenly stopped by again. My joy was noticed by others and became infectious and I had complete strangers joining in with me. (As you can imagine my daughter got really embarassed and gave me the stare.) However she changed her mind as people came up to me to complement my dancing skills. Whoooooo! I left those youngsters for dead!
Interestingly that burst of exercise has really improved the way I feel. The stark truth is that it was menopause that stopped me from dancing it was not a decision made by me.
Heres hoping that I continue to improve and get back to being able to dance every day of my life, like I used to! biggrin.gif

I was thinking this morning about how good I feel. It's such a twist compared to normal but there are times throughout the month when my energy level is up, my moods are good and hot flashes are at a minimum. I try to link it to something and wonder if it's because I stopped taking the DHEA supplements while we went away for a few days. It seems like I try that stuff then stop... and I wonder if I feel worse with it or without. I hope that's what it is... It would be so nice to find an answer.

Oh, Girlsmom... I meant to say I checked to see if there was a lymph drainage massage therapist in my area but there isn't. (KY) Too bad... I love massages and especially like trying the different ones.

Hey Ladies - Glad to hear you're feeling good and I agree about the Lymph Drainage. It really helps. But Evening Primrose, I'm sorry to hear you aren't having a good day or feeling good. Sending you a huge hug.

Hi Girlsmom, grab it and run with it while you can sister cos tomorrow may be a different story laugh.gif LOL.....

I hate to rain on your parade but I was feeling very very good just before my period, no PMS whatsoever heaps of energy, period was a good 28 day cycle this time, but then the day my period came I fell apart literally as you know. Have been a mess ever since sad.gif , anxiety through the roof, health anxiety running rampant, diagnosing myself with every conceivable disease known to mankind in the last 48 hours, oh how we torture ourselves. I'm too scared to go to my doc for reassurance as I can just see him now rolling his soft and sympathetic eyes at me and tut tutting laugh.gif .

I'm hoping that the new massage this week will help somewhat and I will definitely enquire about the lymph drainage massage as this may be beneficial to my leg problems. If I could just get a handle on that then I would be feeling primo just like you biggrin.gif
