Just as I thought when one issue is not done, the other comes up. Great! Not too sure if this peri-related. The left side of my mouth wall seems very sensitive and slightly sore and appears more pinkish than the right side. The upper palette seems to the mildly sore too! Being having these on and off close to 2 months. Any ladies here experience this? Have a nice weekend. blessy

Yep, one symptom seems to follow another with me, too. I've had a sensitive mouth, seems like, but not to where one side is more sore than the other, or more pink.

Quite frankly, when I think about it, I'm just generally sensitive and always have been. So, at this time in my life, things are even that much more sensitive to me.

Have you seen your dentist? I know that whenever I see mine, he always performs a cheek and gum exam when he checks my teeth.

hi blessy........

oh yes, in fact, i just posted today, about my SORE TONGUE! lol. ...this is crazy! yeah, i've had this problem on and off for a few months now too. (it's on the left side of my tongue). the upper palette of my mouth is slightly sensitive too! i don't know what to say, other than, it's got to be hormonal ..... i just got my period a few days ago..but it was 13 days late! so, maybe that triggered something off........are you still regular?

Hey Power Surge Sisters,
I get a sore hard palate...it is too weird to describe. I haven't been able to relate it to any specific foods, but at least once a week it happens.
My the hard palate of my mouth feels like I burned it with hot liquid, only I haven't....does that make sense.
First I thought it was tomatoes or orange juice, now it's just weird.
Last summer, every time I ate a fresh tomato, I got canker sores. Then it happened if I drank orange juice. Then it happened if I ate any foods with processed tomatoes in it, even catsup! That seems to have settled down, but the weird hard palate thing persists.
I give up asking the dentist, doctor about it....they don't seem to know.

I attribute it to the hormones swinging because in the past six months, all I do is spot, spot, spot, then stop, then spot. My body can't decide to be done.

But did the hormones have to affect my mouth? Couldn't they leave one part of my body alone? Guess not.

May we have less sensitive mouths today.

this site never ceases to amaze me!!! Just when i think I am alone in my insanity.......I am 46 , had a total hyster in Nov( glad i did ,releived lots of things) but a new symptom i though NOBODY on here would talk about????? MY mouth feels funny, I went to the dentist because i have a bump on my upper palate ( he x-rayed it a proclaimed it was "tora" or bony growth nothing to worry about....But my upper palate aches intermitently ,not all the time and my ears feel plugged sometimes. NOW ,I have had my tonsils out last Aug , because of throat irritation, and two very good ENT doctors have said they see nothing wrong....but with my daily health anxiety...YIKES!!! I go from one symptom to the next!!!!!! I am on Klonopin, is anyone with this symptom on klonopin?? just allways trying to figure out whats going on....... Thank you again for at least making me feel not so alone.

Hi ladies,

I use an antiseptic mouth rinse for my occasional mouth sensitivity. I feel much more comfortable and refreshed. Or you can try gargling salt water, finds it pretty good too.
