Has anyone had one of their eyes be more dry than the other?Since starting peri My left eye has not felt the same.at first my dr said I had an inflamed tear duct from all the crying. But recently I noticed it still feels different, even though I have not been crying as much.I have started using artificial tears, and they help, but is this normal?I can see fine,i do have more floaters, but I have them in both eyes.Occasionaly my left eye feels a bit more blurry, but if I use the drops it goes away.Anyone else have this problem? Thanks,GODbless

Yes, Lady E, but in my case, it's the RIGHT eye... wink.gif

Just out of curiosity, do you sleep on your left side? I sleep on my right side, and notice that this is always worse first thing in the morning, and wonder if it's because that eye has been smooshed into the pillow... The tear duct is more dry, sometimes I have the blurring, and will even form a little "scab" on the duct. Like you, I use the natural tears products, and they help.

Also have more floaters in both eyes, too. Are we having fun yet??? dry.gif rolleyes.gif

Hi, JJ! Sweet Bugaboo here! Would you please tell me what "floaters" are? I might have them. I've been having minor eye trouble with my left eye, for about a year now. Thanks.

Yes, my lef eye is worse than the other one. I have tmj and that actually cause eye problems as well. I use blink or systane for the dry eyes, that is what the eye doc recommended. Good luck.

Bugaboo,

Floaters are like these floating particles you can see when you stare at something pale colored (like the sky). These little moving "shadows." They are hard to describe, but if you have them, you know! smile.gif

That's interesting.
I have floaters also and my left eye is more blurry.
I also sleep mainly on my left side.
There must be something to that.
I'll have to try some artificial tears.

Hi, JJ -

I think that's what I have. I get them, occasionally, in my left eye - when I get up in the morning and open my eyes. Sometimes during the day, I have the light shadows floating around. But my eye is usually closed when I notice them, but not always closed. It's a weird thing.

Well apparently the 'ayes' have it...err...excuse me, the eyes, that is. I'm with JJ, sleep on right side, right eye worse. I tend to get matting, or alot more sleep in my eyes. Not sure if it's from thyroid, dry eyes or allergies. I also have more floaters, but I think I read once, we tend to get them as our eyesite ages...see I didn't say when WE age, just our eyes. And yes, blurry vision sometimes. That also could be from meno/dry eyes or my thyroid. (sigh) Good grief...I'm depressing myself here.

If I could remember where I put my cane, I swear I'd whack someone....laugh.gif kidding...just kidding.....

LOL LOL LOL! Too funny! LOL

My poor husband will be lucky to come out of this (MY peri/menopause) alive! For two cents, I'd rattle his (male) teeth out, and he's a nice guy. Go figure. Hormones, I reckon.

Guess I have aging eyes. Well, okay, the rest of me is upset, too -- sore limbs, muscles, with achey urethra area, combined with episodes of crying jags.

No fun over here, folks.
