YEP!

I had all these for quite a while but it is not surprising because peri turned me into a world and olympic migraine champion. The neck pain, always down the left side was the worst. If you go down to the doctors they may try to tell you that it is fibromyalgia.

The misery came so often that instead of worrying about dying I just thought, 'for goodness sake just get on with it, I would rather not live in this sorry state.'

Then I started to miss periods and it felt strangely different. Much calmer and not constantly on the cusp of a headache.

THE GREAT NEWS IS THAT THEY HAVE GONE. I cannot remember the last episode and remember, at my worst I could have several per week and toward the end they all joined up!

If I can get better from this, anyone can!

IN THE WORDS OF BON JOVI - KEEP THE FAITH! ( I am going to see Bon Jovi live very soon. Can you believe that I once had to miss one of their concerts because I had a peri migraine. Now that is suffering!)

Cheers,

Thank you for taking a moment to post!! I haven't had one since last year... I forgotten how awful it feels. They're baaack. Alas, the Rx Epidrin (or it's generic friend with the mile-long name) does wonders. Excedrin too. Today, I'm getting a little light sensitive... nauseous, and so it goes.

Thanks again, a little empathy goes such a long way.

Yeah, I get those darn migraines too and get the pain going down my neck. Mostly the left side. Excedrin helps and so does my over the counter progest cream. But when they are full blown, nothing works.

That is such wonderful news that your migraines are gone now XIII. I am hoping mine go away too once I am done with meno. I am crossing my fingers and toes.

Hey, It's my left side too!!! Wonder what that's about. I just re-read the post about missing a Bon Jovi concert!!! I hope all goes well for this one. I would love to see them, too!

These migraines kind of make you aprehensive when you go to make future plans... Between unexpected periods and killer headaches, dizzies - oh what fun. mad.gif

Thanks all,

OMG - YES!!! Having this right now.

My neck pain usually occurs on the right side, in that long tendon in the front. It also moves around up the back and settles in the base of my skull. In addition, I get that squeezing sensation in my temples/forehead, sometimes with tingling, other times with popping in my ears and sinus cavities. UGH!

I am starting to see a pattern in my headaches (which I NEVER got before peri, by the way). I don't get them every month, but when I do, they usually come about mid cycle and last for a couple days. No medication makes them go away either. I have resolved myself to just waiting them out. A rolled up towel placed under the very top of the neck/base of the skull while lying on my back helps somewhat, as does massage.

Oh, I hate all of this pain and suffering! mad.gif
