Hi Lady E,
I've taken several different bcp's (now on BHRT) and I think I've felt different on every one. If the dosages or ingredients are different from the Zovia, you could certainly experience different effects, but not necessarily negative effects. I really understand about the cost factor--I'm spending a lot for hormones and I don't have any prescription insurance. You could try the new pill and see how you do--you probably could always switch back to the Zovia. Take care and let us know how you do.

Lady E,
I don't have a prescription plan either and I always ask my doctors if they have any samples. So far, I have received several packs of bcp's for free. Dont be afraid to ask. Pharmacutical companies always supply the offices with samples and at times they expire and get thrown away before they are used.

Lady E,
I just want to say how glad I am to hear you are doing so will on your new bcp. I think a lower dose progestin is definitely at least part of the reason you are feeling better. The type of progestin can make a difference too. Do you know what the type and dosages of estrogen and progestin are in Sprintec?

Sprintec is the generic for Ortho Tri Cyclen, or if a low dose, it is the generic for Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. In case anyone wonders.....
