ladies, humor me here please...ok, let's say you never heard it put quite this way....i call it , VAGINAL ANXIETY!..lol ..well, it's true!!!!! come on, you must have felt this....it's driving me nuts! I think i'm still ovulating, because i have that VERY heavy uterus feeling, that keeps pressing down on my bladder, and those kind of achey/painful lower abdominal muscles, and the mucus discharge...so i htink i'm still ovulating....BUT, see, this has happ. to me before as well.

This feeling sort of starts up in your uterus, and then, goes down into your vagina. It's as if, you're kind of on the verge of an orgasm, but not, but yes....it's crazy, ..... THEN, your urethra starts to tickle, and THEN, your vagina almost feels as though it's spasming! yet, not quite. .. it's insane! I get this feeling of needing "something" in there, and then, i need to push it out...! yes, i know,...this may be somewhat unusual, and then again, who knows....maybe not. I've gotten this before, as i said...but RIGHT NOW, this month, UGH!!!!! I've had this now for a few days, and i have to say it kind of came on the heels of that mild UTI i had, which left me with this "heavy" feeling down there,....yes, in the bladder, but ALSO down in the vulva area...a very heavy feeling.....ok, like when you're VERY pregnant, baby due anyday feeling? yeah, that heaviness which pushes on your bladder, the lower abdominal muscle, and down in the vagina....so taht, you have this sensation, of wanting to urinate, but also, to push something out of your vagina......when this happens....i can't sit still, obviously..lol....and it's actually, quite annoying!
I was just at a friends house, and her husband was right there, and here i am, squirming around in the chair, hoping he wouldn't notice! i mean, really! I felt like i was on the brink of an orgasm, yet not ......yet, it ALMOST feels like a full bladder, yet not.......then, I get this insane urge to reach my hand up inside me, and pull whatever it is that's causing this sensation, OUT! I want to push this out, whatever it is! and yet, i need to have something in there!

I know, this is hilarious!....but then again, it isn't! My husband certainly gets a kick out of this though!!! (you can only imagine!..lol) ....UGH...no, really, this is crummy, and NOW, as i'm writing this, my left ovary is hurting! oh, and wait, another symptom is upon me, yes,,,,,,,now, the top of the pubic bone, where the hairline is.....is BURNING!!!!!!!! holy cow!
WHAT NEXT?

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS, OR SOMETHING SIMILAR!? For pete sake, i was walking on the beach yesterday, feeling sort of "ok", when POW......here we go! you have to picture this! no, no, no.....this feels like my uterus is trying to have a period, but i just had my period a week and a half ago,......THIS IS TO MUCH! LOL

oh wait,,,,,,,,,i forgot to add that , yes, my vagina gets anxiety! lol ....oh yes, all by it's little self! no kidding! i mean it,,,seriously....that's the feeling! then, it sends it flushing throughout my body~!

Google Permanent Sexual Arousal Syndrome (PSAS). Yes, it's for real! See if your symptoms match the description.

The condition is still a puzzle for the researchers: it could be some pelvic inflammation or infection stimulating clitoral and other sensory nerves, and tends to occur mostly in post-menopausal women in their 40s and 50s, or those who were subscribed a hormonal treatment; but the age can vary a lot.

Others say it is psychological symptom of some emotional crisis connected to the brain's limbic system, the center of pleasure and sex physiology. A brain tumor in a nucleus connected to genital area has been recorded in a case, and also ovary tumors.

Drugs like trazodone induce PSAS as a side effect, but also stopping SSRIs (serotonin reuptake inhibitors, a class of antidepressants), like in Sarah's case, or cholesterol-lowering treatments can have the same effect. One patient experienced PSAS following surgery for urethral prolapse. A pelvic arterial-venous malformation with arterial branches to the clitoris can induce PSAS, and surgery can cure completely in this case.

If you have been on HRT or anti-depressants, you could have PSAS, it is very rare, but recognised as a real medical condition. You may want to get yourself checked out before life becomes much too distracting to do anything.

I know you are describing things in a humorous way but it might be worth getting it checked out-seriously.
The feeling of pressure could be to do with your uterus lining building up too much, or some other meno problem which needs sorting. Its probably nothing but still its better to have it checked out.

Vaginal anxiety- what a great description! I had this symptom several years ago (At the time it seemed to be a side effect of an anti-depressant they had me on to help with horrible bouts of PMS) It went away when they changed me to a different med. I never even told my dr. about it I was so embarassed. Now I'm having it after I had a complete hysterectomy in Oct. 2008. I have usually had low libido but during these times feel a little agitated or anxious and almost hyper aroused. The first time around I really looked at every guy that went by and thought "if I could just take him in the bushes for a few minutes I could relieve myself of this feeling!" It didn't even matter what he looked like or anything! Awful and totally out of character for me! This time the same physical feeling but not really interested in sex even with my partner. Just a physical feeling of need in that area. It's crazy!!!

In my heart, i don't have the feeling it's anything "serious", such as a certain condition ..... because really, it's not that there is this CONSTANT arousal feeling going on, without my consent, out of my control ... no, up until only the last two weeks, it was usually because I simply became so easily aroused, just by thoughts and such, and i really wasn't like that ... at least not that easy!!! LOL
Now, since the last two weeks, when i had had that mild UTI, this really kicked in ....well, wait, let me think .... actually, no, maybe more like the last week or so really. And it happened when i had all this uterine heaviness, and bloatedness, and this constant feeling like I"m going to get my period, oh, and that feeling like you need to "push" something out ....that's when this really kicked in ...... before that, i'd say, this was "there" more, since peri .......but, not so out of control as now.

So, we'll see. I have an appt. with my GYN next week .... if I feel to uncomfortable, i can go to the ER, and ask for some tests. .... I also have this sort of irritated, "burning' feeling in the vulva area, which i think may just be either yeast, or irritation.
But, my point is.....that's when this started too. Along with this weird sort of "burning" right above the pubic bone, the pubic hairline!

This may be nowhere near what you have but you might want to check out POP - Pelvic organ prolapse. With you mentioning the feeling of wanting to push something out of your vagina, that thought came into my head. I think you would normally actually feel a bulging or an actual lump down there though. Just thought I would mention it, not to scare you or anything, but get it checked out. Remember you are your own best health advocate and you know when something is not right and out of the ordinary.

I second bchgrl's assessment -- sounds like it could be a prolapsed uterus. Don't mean to scare you, apparently it is fairly common. Absolutely check it out with your doc, and let us know how it goes.

Oh my goodness, this same thing start happening to me about a year ago, I thought it was gas or something, but it continues to occur a year later. I had ultrasound about 6 mos ago, nothing was found. It is happening right now. It feels like a pressure on my lowe stomach into my vaginal area. It feels like I need to have sex or something. I can't believe that you are having this too. I'm glad I found this board. It felt like my sex drive had pushed into fast forward and I began to need to have sex, fortunately my husband can accomdate me most of the time, but when he can't I have help myself out.

LOL!!! i know, isn't this far out! this whole, "I NEED TO HAVE SEX IMMEDIATLEY"! THING? and yet, thta's exactlywhat this feels like! OR....that feeling of needing to push something out, a heaviness, or whatever .
