Hi All,
I am an avid golfer and will be outside in the heat and humidity this summer - I am already experiencing how different my body temperature is both in general and with a flush - and the temperatures are quite comfortable here - not too hot not too cold. I don't know what it's going to be like when the heat and humidity hit.
So I was wondering if anyone had any helpful hints, advice, anything to prepare me or help me thru this lovely time of life!!!!

You might start taking a magnesium supplement. That has really helped tone down my hot flashes. A battery operated personal fan might not be a bad idea either! My GF got me one as a gift, kind of a joke, and I tell you that thing feels wonderful!

The summer of 2007 was my worst summer for flashes. I had them constantly, and when the stagestemperature was extremely high, I couldn't tell if I was suffering from the heat or having flashes as it was neverending!! I bought an air conditioning unit for the bedroom, which helped immensely for sleep, and as a cool room to escape to if the heat was too overwhelming.
I started on an anti depressant and that did seem to calm down the flashes some, and so did the cooler weather. I noticed over the years that the hot flashes come in stages or cycles. I not take BHRT and have very few hot flashes.
Isn't this just so much fun?? But you might as well laugh, cuz crying isn't gonna help!!
Take care and stay cool!!
