Well, if I'm jinxing myself by posting this, so be it. I know how much it means to read something positive so here it is:

I'm better!! After 8 months of various symptoms: hot and cold flashes, nausea, insomnia, anxiety, muscle twitches (6 months of those), chest tightness, back pain, gloomy thoughts, digestive issues....everything is better! It's been gradual but now I feel like my old self most days.

I didn't take a single thing (sensitive to so much), haven't run to the doctor, no more ER visits - just went day by day. Keeping busy and eating right helped a lot. I prayed, too. Whenever gloomy thoughts about the future start I just try to return to the present and stay there.

(Here's a great book: The Dynamic Laws of Healing by Catherine Ponder.)

So, what happened? Who knows? After a summer of stress and anxiety did my adrenals gradually recover? Did the hormones finally balance? Is this the end of it all???

Like so many others who post here, I thought my symptoms would last forever. Well they didn't - and if they return I can always remember that they went away once and will go away again.

Hope this helps someone!

Helen

That is a wonderful thing, and I also hope it will last forever. Make the best of life now, when you are feeling good. Tomorrow holds no guarantees. That is what hope is for. And I hope that you continue on in good health.

In the meantime, since your prayers worked so well for yourself, could you put in a good word for the rest of us who are still hurting?

Thanks.

Glad to hear and congrats, this is how it was for me, one day most symptoms just vanishes and I no longer was rushing to ER every time I had acid reflux, LOL.
Great inspiration for those who dread this will never end, everything passes and this shall pass too. Thanks for posting it smile.gif

Thank you everyone for your good wishes and support.

Rest assured, I pray for all my friends at both Power Surge and PaxilProgress. The PaxilProgress posters were a great help to me when I had an awful experience with only six 20 mg. pills las summer.

I am confident that, in time, improvement and recovery will happen.

HB, I am soooo happy for you! Also glad to hear you got thru it without having to resort to meds. I'm sure you know from the boards and us talking, that I, too, am sensitive to meds. You have given me encouragement with your post. I went thru a horror story in 2001 after only a week on Paxil also; I've never felt so alone in my life. You'd think I would have learned and not been talked into taking the Klonopin last year. But I'm on a slow taper with only 6 weeks to go, and have great hopes of getting to where you are now. I hope you are over the worst of it for good.
