Okay, same symptom, different month. Once again I am seven days into my cycle and I feel like I could snap any second now. Anxiety is just laying under the surface and I suspect if I poked myself with a pin I would pop. I hate this feeling. I seem to have my anxiety under control most of the month, but this week after my period, EVERY MONTH, is just miserable. What makes it worse is I cannot get it thru my thick head to not drink caffeine at this time so that just makes me more miserable.

So, obviously this is an imbalance of hormones. Do any of you know which hormone is likely unbalanced and what else I can do about it? Am I estrogen dominant at this time of month???

I feel like I could SCREAM mad.gif right now!

Okay, I am going to try to get on with my day. Just needed to do my monthly vent laugh.gif

Hi (((Shakin)))
Here are some threads on anxiety which you might find helpful.
Anxiety is such a bummer - as you'll see I took a tranquillizer. No way could I live with that awful feeling more months on end.
Hope you find something that works for you!
Hugs, Jonie

I know what you mean about feeling like you are about to snap! I've been feeling that way the past few days, plus depression added to it and I am just ending my period, so I would think I would be feeling better, not worse....what is the deal? I wish there were a machine we could walk into so we could know exactly what is going on with our particular hormone levels everyday, and then I wish there were a cream or pill that would help balance us out for that same day's problem. :-) Not knowing is making me crazy - wondering do I need more progesterone cream, is my estrogen level too high? I am wondering the same thing as you are. I feel a bit better, but I know my husband is probably getting tired of me being depressed and high-strung over trivial incidents. I do need to lay off the sugary sweets and chocolate though - I think it makes me feel worse, but it is so difficult not to eat them. Hang in there - I understand what you are going through. We'll be okay - but the days are rough at times. I'm thankful for this site - it is so helpful to have companions on this crazy journey.

Shakin:

When you get your period both your sex hormones drop off to nothin....and stay that way for a few days, then the estrogen goes up. So either you are suffering from no hormones, or estrogen dominance...depending on how early in your cycle you start feelin crappy and when you start feeling better.....
