Today I was planning on going out. I was going to wear a comfy pair of stretch cords, but found they were a little too tight everywhere--hips, tummy, butt, and thighs. It seems I've grown overnight! Then I tried on my trusty stretch jeans, the only pair I've felt comforable in for several years. Guess what...they were tight around the tummy, and it looked like I was pregnant! So I just ended up wearing a pair of knit "house pants."
First, is anyone else growing like I am? Especially the buddha belly?
Second, can anyone recommend good pants with stretch, especially jeans? Ones that do not make you look pregnant and maybe hide the belly a bit? I do have a lot of knit pants, but I generally feel like they are not "going out" pants. Maybe I should change my mind about that.
Thanks!

I just bought a pair of stretch jeans at Chico's...they're a bit pricey, but very flattering, and they come in 3 styles: O for Original (sits at the waist) M=Modern (below waist; these are the ones I like) and W=Woman's (cut bigger in the hips)...

Greenie! I bought a pair of Levi's 512 jeans. I love them. They sit at the waist....I can't do the below waist thing anymore cuz it causes my stomach to pouch out more....anyway, they are stretch, boot cut and have a slimming tummy panel

Thanks ladies! I am wondering if anyone knows any "tricks" about shapes and styles. For example, I remember hearing that wide leg pants are good for hiding bulges. In trying on a few of my own pants the other day, I also noticed that pants without a zipper in the front seem to hide the tummy better. Other ideas?

Greenie, all those features in pants are great, also pants without pockets are also very slimming as they do not add bulk. I like ordering from Lands End myself as they will also hem some pants for free and their sizes seem true to size.
