I hate it! it is so freaking odd! I get this emotional sinking feeling. Depressed, then anxiety(internal jitters) then it stops. Some times it has a hot flash sometimes not. Sometimes just my stomach gets hot, sometimes an ear or two, a face, feet or the whole body.

Just now I had depression, adenaline rush, internal jitters. I hate peri! sad.gif

I think that's pretty normal...I too get a little depressed, then anxious that seems to bring on a hot flush...in fact if I focus on thinking about a hot flush I can make one happen!!!!

If I wasn't so hot at night I might be able to sleep better....arrrggghh.

The problem for me is that I forget when I am feeling a bit "down" that it is a hot flash that is coming. I just think "man, I feel depressed" then the jitters come in. Sometimes I forget that jitters are a part of a hot flash too. Then once I get hot. I think "oh yea" The pre stuff is sometimes worse than the hot flash. I will be depressed and jittery say a good 20 minutes than boom! My stomach feel hot for a spit second.

Other times, I can jitter and think "it is just a hot flash, it is just a hot flash. breathe. breathe"

Then I forget again!

I hate peri!

Yes, I get this, too - but I don't think I fully realized it until I read these posts. I feel awful, dark and gloomy, while lying in the bed in the morning. Then, as soon as my anxiety and hot flashes (usually more than one) pass, I feel better all around.

I wonder throughout the day: "How much longer????"

Hi Everybody,

This is a great site and forum. Nice to find others with the exact same stuff going on! At least I realize it's not only me and I'm not losing my mind!

I have the same feelings with these hot flashes (just figured out what the heck they were!). Mine is a racing heartbeat and anxiety with the flash. Sometimes it can take from 10 to 30 minutes to really pass and calm down. I hate being awakened by one (this just happened about a half hour ago) and feel like I'm jumping out of my skin. Racing heartbeat - have to get up. Feel too hot, feel anxious.

Sometimes just as that one passes another may start but other times it's only the one and when it finally passes I'm calm enough to go back to bed.

This really is not the best time of my life and I am praying so hard for it to pass already!
