Hi All,

when I started getting night sweats it went from a damp neck, to a damp back, to a total drenching.

Anyone else experience this?

oh yes, at one stage i kept towels next to the bed so i could wipe myself down, and put one under me if the bed was too wet to be comfortable for the rest of the night.. saved waking my husband, or wetting down the spare bed as well.. it all lasted somewhere around 6-8 months i think.. now it's not as bad, and i am so used to taking the covers off when i get hot, i do it without waking myself up too much.. it should improve in time for you too..

Yup. whenever I get a night sweat, it is actually a night soaking. I end up having to at least towel off. Most times I actually have to change.

I am 40 years old and I have had night sweats, drenching ones where I need to sleep on a towel every night, for six years. I am in my fifth year of surgical menopause and although sometimes I feel it's just a part of life, many times I feel I will go mad if I don't stop waking every hour with the need to dry off. I've tried every over-the-counter herbal remedy, the estrogen patch, and eating tofu every night with only slight respite before the sweats start again. This is my only remaining symptom after five years but I think it will drive me insane!

(otherwise, menopause isn't bad.)
