I'm five years post and have been experiencing a flare of symptoms during the last 7 or 8 months.

Well a few days ago I had achy, achy calves and I started searching for that on this forum. I woke up one of those nights drenched in sweat - I was so discouraged because I thought night sweats were now returning, too. Finally, I decided to take my temperature - 101! That's truly a fever for me. One more night of sweating and the fever has not returned. Still have fatigue, dry cough, chills, achy legs and arms - in other words, the flu.

Actually, I'd RATHER have the flu. At least the end is always in sight.

Aw, Helen,

I'm sorry you're sick, but I'm glad you aren't having the peri symptoms again!

Try to get lots of rest and stay hydrated because that'll help you feel better sooner.

Take care,
Deb

HB,

I am sorry you are sick with the flu!!

However, I had to laugh at your post...as I did the exact same thing! And not once but TWICE!!! I started on BHRT and was doing very well on it, and two different times started feeling all HOT and sweaty, exhausted, headachey, sore shoulders, generally unwell....

Both times I thought I needed to up my estrogel or something, and was NOT happy to have a return of symptoms...and BOTH times I was just sick!! It creeps me out that menopause feels so much like the flu!! Other than the coughing there isn't a lot of difference between them!

And like you, I would much rather have the flu...because we know that will be gone in a few days, couple weeks at the most! Woo hoo!! I am still battling my flu, but I am feeling a lot better than I was a couple days ago...I hope you are too!! Take care, REST, drink plenty of fluids...you know the drill!!

Take care

HB hope you feeling better. I've been with this cold stuff for my 3rd time in 3 month, sims like never end of this hell. But what bother me more is that i have a lot of sinus? or allergy or who knows, that keep my chest soo congested, and my nose. The weird part of this colds, is that i feel soo weird, because my chest sound like a crackling or rumbling and with eachy throat. The mucus is very clear, and never had this before, I'm to the point to panic, so, i think that it could be astma for the way my chest feels. Every ache and pain i get is soo dramatic now i can't live life not more. This morning i was trying to relax and i started to feel soo achy on my right side from my little finger all the way down to my right little toe. My MIL is 73, and she is soo strong that make me soo jealous , she get just a little cold, and next day she is ready on the go. And me sick like a dog mad.gif How long i'm going to life this miscery? I'm soo to the point to give up, when is not one thing is the other. I was never if once a year with a cold and now in 3 month 3 times.
Sorry menosisters but i feel soo desperate.
