I had my cat scan done a few weeks ago, the doctor wanted to check my bowel for diverticulitis, I had an allergic reaction to the dye and spent hours in ER ....well went back to see the surgeon on Friday and apparently there was no test results in my files.. Grrrrr sad.gif to make a long story short he obtained them finally, and apparently they did not check what he asked them to check for.... How can that be....so I endured the allergic reaction for nothing.....still test are inconclusive , so now I have to go back in a couple weeks to get a barium enema now............ mad.gif I was hoping to finally get to the bottom of my problem I have been having for 2 months now.........so am no further ahead..........

buttercup, I just wanted to say I am so sorry you had to endure all of that for nothing. I understand your frustration.

Thanks Floater, I am just so tired of test after test, I just want some closure and answers so I can deal with whatever is going on.....I see you live in Alberta, lived there for 17 years, moved 10 years ago when my husband retired to be closer to family in the east.....but wish I was still out west........the hospital situation is probably not much better there right?

I have a very long list of tests I have endure! Everything you can think of, muscle-nerve testing, stress test, mri's, colonscopy-upper gi. Every symptoms had a major test order. Plus also many hours in therapy.

Also had a bad experience with a ct scan too! That was the test that broke the camel back. I pretty much put a end to doctor's visits, tests etc. I see my family doctor only for now, he not a alarmist so I know he won't order anything unnecessary.

So for now I give up and wait until this maddest ends!

buttercup, I think Alberta is a little better than some of the other provinces, certainly better than BC and SK....I know many people from those provinces com to AB for treatment!! Some of the bigger hospitals have some long waits in the ER's, but in my small city we get pretty prompt service...although at this time of year, the hospital runs with pretty much all the beds filled....lots of times patients have to wait a day or two in the ER before getting a bed. Oh well, at least we aren't paying the rates that some of our American PS sista's do!

When I say they have to wait a day or two in the ER....I mean IN a bed, in the ER...haha!! Not sitting in the waiting room!! laugh.gif
