hi everyone,

boy oh boy, this is one insane thing after another, OR it's just me becoming overworked again, i don't know, which is why i'm here. This evening, about two hours ago, i had to urinate..ok, fine...all was normal. When I stood up to flush, I looked into the toilet bowl (force of habit by now, since i had that blackish/greenish stool problem there for a few days, which has clearned up, thank God!, now i just have lousy abdominal pains, and diareah!), when i looked into the bowl, i saw this yellow "string" on the front part of the toilet, the slanted part of the toilet that goes down into the toilet. It wasn't floating. It was about maybe, an inch long, and a light -medium yellow color...it was sitting on the toilet bowl itself, like i said, on that front part of the toilet that slants down. Now, I panicked, because I thought maybe that had come out of my urethra!
I didn't feel it, there was no pain, no blood, NOTHING,...in fact, i never would have noticed it, if i hadn't looked into the toilet bowl. This "string", was not floating, it was just sitting there on the bowl itself, probably where the urine WOULD hit the bowl, on that front slanted part...which is why it got me nervous, because I thought, if it was discharge from my vagina, which i've had plenty of, then it would've been farther back in the toilet, yet this, was sitting right where the urine would hit....this is hard to explain. It was just sitting there, in a sort of spaghetti like fashion, all twisted up...like when you see spaghetti on a dish. I was able to take a Q-tip, and very carefully, pull it out, slowly, as gross as this is, just to look at this, since it scared me. When I did, I noticed more clear mucus present, but yet, that yellow color was still there.

'I've had stuff like this come out of my vagina many times, but it's usually on the TP, NOT in the bowl...but again, there's a first time for everything. HOWEVER, what freaked me out, was WHERE in the bowl it was, and that was, on the front slanted part, where the urine would hit.

NOw that you all think i'm nuts, I'll end this post....I don't mean to sound insane, but THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE, and I'm just now getting over this crazy 5 day ordeal of that black/green stool thing we got from Boston Market!

If anyone here knows anything about this, please, please, post. I have googled this now for hours, and it just seems to either say things about an infection in the bladder, or urethra, but then they say other signs would be present too, which i don't really have. I've had 2 UTI's in the past few years, and this doesn't feel like that at all.

My friends have reassured me, it MUST have come from my vagina, perhaps as i was sitting down in the first place, or getting up, which would account for where it was in the toilet, on that slanted front part. My nerves are at their end, I can't take much more!

thank you all very very much! sincerely, mydarling

Don't worry! I have had this all my live - it's when you have a bit of a "super" ovulation. Having many years of watching for certain things for natural conception you watch out for this sign. It was probably there and just happened to come out as the same time you had a wee that's all. It's usually a day or two after you get an ache in one (or both) sides due to ovulation. In my personal experience that is.

thank you Jackie! yes, of course, that does make me feel better. Well, I'm not ovulating right now, in fact, I just got my period RIGHT NOW..lol...so, what that was, i don't know. The thing I was so freaked out about, was not that it might have come from the vagina, I get that a lot too....but I thought maybe it had come from my urethra! UGH! this lousy fear and terror that goes on inside me is absolutley awful!

thank you jackie!

I'll ditto Jackie response, I've experienced this also from ovulation.

I get this just before a period now like a few days...also something new for me when it started.

I did get it checked to make sure it was not a vaginal infection or a UTI, but I had no pain or any of the other symptoms of those my results were clear so I guess it is just part of this or I just never paid attn before.

You can ovulate any time in the month, I jave just 3 days after finishing a period. You can from one or both ovaries at different times (hence conceptions of 2 babies at different times).

You can also have what is called "referred pain" from on ovary on the other side. AND you don't always release an egg each month, the follicle doesn't get released and the ovary behaves as though it's trying to release it. The egg actually "bursts" through which explains sometimes why you get a spot of blood and why the egg-white strand /yellowy has a tinge of colour.

I went into all this when I was diagnosed with endometriosis in the 80's. All fascinating stuff eh! After years of mucus watching, temperature taking and infertility for a few years it all made sense - just go with nature.

I've had this also and have been told it's perfectly natural wink.gif
